Only one lift working for the entire 14 floors of the hotel and that one wasn't working properly. people getting stuck in it, engineer in and out - very worrying. Room was OK but needed work - dirty sealant around the bath and generally a bit unloved.

The staff was very nice, and the area is quite convenient which would explain the price. Other than location and staff, the rooms I had were ok. My first room had to be changed since there was a leak and the carpet was wet and brown. I appreciated the changing of my room, but the room I got was worse (layout wise)which really didn’t make me happy. I’m not one who will complain during my stay, so that’s my fault for being quiet. I still had all the things I had in the other room, but the TV wasn’t working, and during the whole stay only 1 elevator was working (and god knows where the stairs are). Again, location and staff being nice was what made me not complain further than getting the room changed which they offered to me.

Given the amount charged per night, i woukd have thought the bathroom would have been cleaner. I took photos of the absolute grime around the bath handles and bath overflow. When water ran over these the dirt just flowed off. So i showered rather than bathed Really unimpressed. At least Premier Inn etc are clean

Great location but hotel is long overdue for a renovation. Old carpet, rooms dated and overwhelming damp, moldy smell throughout the hallways and room. Bellmen watched as I carried my luggage down small set of stairs and did not help. Too busy talking to each other. If they renovate, would stay there again.

Good location, bad amenities and service
We booked this hotel because it had a great location. However the front desk staff at our arrival was very unfriendly. Once we got to our room, it smelt like someone had smoked there. The bathroom is very outdated with a shower curtain and the toilet doesn’t flush properly. When it was time to leave, we had to put our own luggages in the taxi, they weren’t helpful. It was very disappointing given the rating of this hotel and price. I would not recommend.

A hotel in a great location offering a warm welcome. Staff struggled with my accent and trying to confirm a late check out proved difficult. No ability to leave bags at the hotel while running a charity half marathon made things difficult. Room service very expensive and as they didn't properly register my credit card we had to pay for our meal in cash and not all items were delivered. Could be great - but its not there at the moment.
