“Convenient”
Second time here but first since Mecure took over. Significant improvement in the service since then. Had a short trip with my daughter to see the sights of London. Hotel is very convenient in terms of location. Caught the train from Heathrow so it is not too far to drag cases to the hotel. Daughter found the bed very comfortable. Would stay their again
“Satisified Guest”
A clean, fresh decor and great location - easy to get everywhere as Paddington Station is very close. The rooms are small, but this seems to be the general pattern for London. I thought this hotel was value for money.
“Well worth a stay”
An old building well refurbished and maintained. Good front desk staff who help in all things and are always friendly. The rooms, as one would expect in London, are not large but we stayed in an 'Executive King Bed Room' and were well satisfied. This is by the way our 6th stay here. The Paddington rail station is virtually next door and major buses pass the door.
“Extremely accomodating”
Extremely convenient location, The staff was welcoming when we first walked in to leave our suitcases because of early arival and continued to be very helpful during our entire stay.. We received recommendations for pubs which were excellent. The rooms may be small but more than adequate and nicely appointed. We would definitely stay here again
“Terrific stay!”
From the moment we walked in, the concierge couldn't be more helpful with recommendations of where we first-timers should go. Our room was cleaned twice a day and everything was spotless! Location was perfect as we were right next to Paddington station...couldn't have had a better stay during our first trip to London! Definitely recommended!
“Oh god!”
We have all heard of small rooms, but this was not a room, it was a closet with a bed in it. Terrible service, terrible room, save your money...we made a HUGE mistake staying here.
“Location, Location , Location!!!”
A very good hotel very conveniently located near train and underground station, walking distance to Marble Arch (about 1 km), clean and tidy with very helpful staff. i will stay there next time i visit London. just be ware of the room size as it's a bit tight.
“Its THE location for the traveller”
The location right next door to Paddington Station means that it is not only handy to the terminus of trains serving the west of England, it is also 15 minutes to Heathrow on the Heathrow Express, so is as close as any airport hotel. Plus, there is the Number 23 bus running past, which takes you through the west end, Regent Street, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, then via the Strand to the City of London, past St Pauls and ends at Liverpool Street Station. Grab a front seat upstairs and this is a cheap way to view this great city. The hotel is clean, efficient, and has all the amenities a traveller could want. However the rooms are small (as they are in most London hotels).
“Very convenient hotel from Heatthrew airport express Paddington station”
Nice reception services with very polite staff team; comfort room, great English Breakfast in its traditional restaurant.
“Mecure Paddington couldn't be more convenient”
We stayed at the Mecure (previously known as the Quality Crown Hotel Paddington) May 27-30, 2011. The room was very clean and the hotel is well maintained. That said, the main reason to stay at this hotel is its extraordinary location next to the Paddington train and Underground station. Less than 100 feet from the door of the hotel is the entrance to the Paddington Underground station. Add about another 200 feet and you are in the train station. All of London is at your feet staying at this hotel. I picked the hotel originally because Paddington train station is where the Heathrow Express leaves from. 15 minutes on this nonstop train and you are at Heathrow airport. That gives you much more time to sleep before catching a plane. Several fine restaurants are located in easy walking distance. A McDonalds is next door. Great wireless WiFi in room. They are stingy with ice but all non-Americans are. Front desk will get you ice. A/C took a long time to cool room. One of those "put room card in slot before A/C and lights work" type of room. Bought through Expedia and check in was flawless.
