My room was basement and there was no wifi. I struggled to get the wifi there. I was unsatisfied about it. Other than that, the hotel was really nice.

I stayed in the single room (Room 24). Got the room on extremely short notice, which I was grateful for. If you're interested in a place that is close to PLAB exam spot near Vincent square, this is a great location. It is a 5-8 minute walk.

I have never encountered such a welcoming staff!!! They are truly committed to making your stay with them as comfortable as possible! I encountered some room challenges, with a tiny room and tepid water for the shower. As long as you are prepared for that, you will be fine!

Thanks for your kind review. We have large rooms too... basic single rooms in Central London are what it says in the description. The water will be hot though. If there are any issues always good to point them out to our staff who will do their best to meet your expectations.

First impressions were excellent! The hotel is well situated, easy to get to and in a quiet (yet very central) neighborhood. Even though we arrived incredibly early (hoping only to store our luggage until the room was ready), management/ownership graciously found a way to get us into a room early in the morning!! This was unexpected and MUCH appreciated. Our room was on the top floor (in a building with no elevator) - but the hotel made sure we had help getting our bags up to our room. Our stay included specialty coffee and pastries at breakfast. These were DELICIOUS and waking-up to the aroma of freshly baking pastry was heavenly. We loved our stay here. The room was spacious and lots of hot water in the shower. I wish there was a way to have some sort of air conditioning in the rooms and not just fans. Our room was rather warm on at least one night, even with the fans running. This is a very minor criticism as we booked the hotel knowing that A/C was not available. Location was fabulous - we were able to get everywhere in London with ease. We even walked to Buckingham Palace! Area felt very safe, even when returning to the hotel at night. Overall, highly recommended!

The property is centrally located and is within walking distance or a bus hop to most central London attractions. This is not a hotel but looks like a row house converted to tourist rooms. The room was too tiny with no headspace. It was dusty and dirty with hair all over (gross). The bathroom was too tiny and impractical to take a shower. And worst, there was no lift and it was hard to climb up and down narrow and steep stairs well. We ended up moving to Park Plaza a couple of blocks away, for the same price. It was a proper hotel!

We are obviously disappointed that we could not meet your expectations. Perhaps the fact that your plans changed and we were unable to refund you may have encouraged your vitriol. Fortunately for us after 51 year in the business we do please most of the people most of the time.

While the staff were professional and I felt in good hands, I undo had two terrible nights of sleep on the most uncomfortable, hard mattress in a very crammed tiny, stuffy bedroom. I’m a regular business commuter to London and paid close to 200 pounds a night. The quality of sleep and lack of comfort is the worst I’ve had in years.

This is a go-to hotel of ours in London. Good location for us. However, like many of the converted hotels, the rooms are small, there are no lifts, and AC is lacking. Our room got a bit too warm, even in early June.

Thank you for your review. Air Con would be ideal but is discouraged by the local council for environmental and noise reasons. We do provide fans and portable air conditioners. This is a common comment made about hotels in our area.

Really nice staff, room, and area. We loved the free coffee and pastries in the morning. The staff is outstanding, very pleasant and helpful. The entire hotel gives you the “home away from home” feeling. It’s a short work to all the major sightseeing attractions and to restaurants and pubs.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, helping us with finding the best ways to get around. Our room was clean and the location was perfect having two underground’s to chose from to get around. And good affordable restaurants around as well. We definitely enjoyed our stay here.

The hotel was clean, and in a safe and quiet area, yet is still very close to all the major sites and has plenty of public transportation options nearby. The staff however, was not great. We were woken up at 9 am every morning because the housekeeping team wanted to clean. We were on vacation and jet lagged, and being woken up so early each morning wasn't the best experience. Each day we asked them to come back at a later hour, yet they would continuously come to clean around 9 am every day. If we asked them to come back at a later time to clean they either refused or gave us a lot of attitude about it. Additionally, there is a sign printed out and hanging up in the room that states checkout is at 11 am. Around 9:30, they called the room to ask why we hadn't checked out yet. We explained that we were hoping to checkout at 11, as this is both the typical checkout time and this was the checkout time listed in the room. They were a bit rude about it, but allowed us to checkout at 11 am. When we went down to the reception to checkout, I (very politely) asked why we were expected to leave prior to our checkout time. The man at the front desk was very rude and kept on insisting that checkout is at 10:30 am (why were we called an hour prior to this?). I showed him a picture of the sign in the room that said checkout was at 11, and he continued to rudely insist that checkout was 10:30. He was incredibly dismissive and wouldn't even look me in the eye.

Thanks for your review. Please look at the picture you took and read it again. It sets out special conditions if you book on OUR web site which include late check out. You booked through an online agent. We are sorry for the confusion but perhaps now you can understand what they were trying to explain to you on the desk. The man on the desk is a very experienced member of staff and we have never known him to be rude. Housekeeping do their best not to disturb you and they say they were pushed back by you several times in late morning and they did accommodate. This is never usually an issue. They are very experienced and we apologise as this irritated you.

Comfy and clean. Very noisy early morning - banging and bumping from the floor above that went on and on and on. No coffee provided in rooms and the breakfast was average. Expensive for what you get.

Nicely presented room, small, like comparable London hotels. Hot water in shower a little inconsistent. Small breakfast of three nice but mini croissants taken in room with tea or coffee. Hotel says the modest breakfast is because its complimentary, but i for one have paid online through Expedia for hotel AND breakfast.

Thank you for your kind review. We will investigate the wording on Expedia but we are not advertising breakfast per se however we are offering complimentary Italian Coffee Premium Teas and viennoiserie. That is breakfast for some but there is no addition to the room rate you pay.

The smallest room ever, superior single!!!!
The people were really nice but it doesn’t take away the fact the room was like a large cupboard. I went with superior double and when the guy showed me to the room, we both couldn’t fit in there at the same time. I went for a superior single, had I have gone for standard presumably I would have had to sleep stood up. WiFi was rubbish and somehow damaged my laptop that cost me 1hour with IT the day after. Mattress was very old and sloped one way. I hate staying in London.

We ae sorry to hear we did not meet your expectations. We do try our best to display the room sizes. They are not large but as you allude to they are average for our category in London. Perhaps next time you might consider a Double Room for single occupancy. Not sure we understand how the Wi-fi can damage your laptop. This is a first but we will investigate.

Great location. Very convenient to the Victoria and Pimlico stations and the 24 bus stop (direct line to Westminster and Trafalgar Square) next to the hotel. The staff is very friendly and the hotel is clean. The Wi-Fi could be better, however.

I chose this place because as advertised there was parking and breakfast. But there is no guarantee that you will get to park in a secure location. There was no breakfast available either.

That is unfair. Nowhere does it say we are currently offering breakfast nor that you were charged for it. There is street Parking ( free 18.30 to 08.30 am weekdays and all day Saturday and Sunday, and a Q Park secure car park nearby.

This hotel was convenient for Victoria station Unfortunately the room I was given was the smallest hotel room that I have ever been in. Seriously it was very small. This hotel price was supposed to include breakfast. It did not. That was false advertising in my estimation. The staff was very pleasant, but overall i was rather disappoineted.

Thank you for your kind review. Your reservation confirmation and price sets out clearly there is no breakfast. Sadly like many hotels we stopped with the Covid restrictions in March 2019 and now there are staffing constraints in hospitality. We aim to resume normal service asap. There are many coffee shops and bakeries for breakfast nearby. Many hotels in our area are afflicted by the same constraint at the moment.

Brief breakdown
The staff were great and very helpful. Breakfast: We didn’t get breakfast but this seemed very limited for the option on their site. Parking: WARNING for drivers, the app mentions onsite parking. The hotel does NOT have parking. I drove expecting somewhere to park, this was not the case. There is street parking for residents with permits week days and free for the public over the weekend. There is 24 hour Q-Parking nearly but this is £30 per day and on average 10minutes walk from the hotel. Taking your car: The hotel is just outside of the central congestion zone, make sure you check your vehicle doesn’t incur charges before you leave to get to the hotel, it is within the ULEZ area. Snacks: There are plenty of shops for food and drink a short walk away. Underground: The closest station is Pimlico, roughly 6 minutes walk.

Thank you for your review. Parking is FREE on the street from 18.30 to 08.30 the next morning week days and FROM 18.30 Friday to 08.30 Monday morning. There are parking meters outside where you can park with charges at other times up to 4 hours. We are outside the Congestion Charge Zone but inside ULEZ. Please ask if unsure or look at TFL website. The options on this web site settings do not allow us to explain all this. There is Parking or NO Parking. There is Parking !

Check in was easy and they let us store our luggage while our room was being prepared and we found a place to eat breakfast (we got to the hotel around 10am). It's in a nice part of London, had several restaurants within walking distance and was an easy walk to public transportation. I think the room was a little expensive, but no more than other places we stayed in other countries we visited.

Thanks for your review. Room sizes in Central London period properties are generally smaller than out of town in this price range. Breakfast has been suspended in many hotels of our size. Hopefully it can resume when the situation improves. There are many breakfast options nearby.
