Very good price considering the location... but

Pros: Bar, beds, location, price, staff
Cons: cleanliness, renovation of certain fittings.... addition of more plug sockets.
Location: very good location, 5 minute walk from selfridges and park lane.... parking an issue but Marble Arch is not too far (underground).
Was a very good stay and very very good price for a twin double room, we had three of them. However there were a few letdowns.... the bathroom showed signs of wear, the toilet was a bit of a problem to flush completely around the whole basin. Also there were some hairs of a previous resident. The lifts were also very annoying... there are three but many times you are left on your floor for upto 5 minutes waiting for one, and even when one comes you are taken all over the building before reaching ground... However the bar was very nice and all in all I enjoyed my stay. I would stay again, the staff were friendly and very accomodating. Plus the other guests were sociable and kind.

Handy location

Hotel staff were very friendly and efficient. We arrived a lot earlier than anticipated so were not expecting to be able to check in but simply drop off our bags. Our room was ready! Travelling from New Zealand it was such a relief. The location is handy if you don't mind walking 10 minutes or so from the closest tube station. Our 5 year old son was with us so the walk seemed like an eternity for him so would not necessarily recommend it if you have tired children with you. Take a cab! Otherwise lovely hotel, nice staff and close to Marble Arch.

Great hotel. Close to oxford street. Get down for breakfast early as it's complete chaos and rather pricey for drinks. Glass wine, diet coke and a gin and tonic £36!!!

Good hotel, great location

Great location and very welcoming staff, and a credit to the hotel. While the overall quality was good, the only complaint is that there were a few things not as I would have expected. For example, no bath robes/slippers/toiletries. No minibar and no room service other than sandwiches at night, and drinks are buy a bottle of wine (not glass). So close, but a few minor irritations that let it down.

Decent Hotel - cleanliness, OK

The Room was comfortable and the hotel amenities were what you'd expect of a Marriott. My concern, however, was with Housekeeping. I noticed that my room was cleaned daily but not vacuumed. I'm unsure if my sheets were changed but my towels were changed regardless of whether they were left hanging (as instructed should I want to reuse and conserve water) or left on the floor.
