“Very good overall”
It was one night - clean, 10 min walk from tube. Paddington is a GBP7 cab ride (I had an early flight). Number of restaurants and pubs close by - didnt try any of them. Quick, cheap, safe, clean visit
“Great Location Smallish Rooms”
The main attraction for this hotel is location. It is located a short walkabout from Queensway where there are lots of restaurants and small stores. Whitely's shopping centre is located around the corner. Bayswater and Queensway tube stations are close as well so easy to get to other locations. The room I had, small double bed room was exactly what it was. A small room with a double bed. There was a mini bar fridge (empty) and safe located in the wardrobe. The bathroom had a shower. I found like the room to be fine for just myself however if there were two people they would find it very cramped. There was free wifi in the lounge next to the lobby and if you wanted to access it from your room, it was GBP5/24 hour. There was also breakfast served in the breakfast room but never tried. There is no restaurant in the hotel but that wasn't a problem as located near lots of restaurants/fast food places. The service was good and was handed a map at check-in. Would recommend this place due to value of money I thought it provided.
“good stay for the money”
great place to stay if you're seeing London on a budget. walking distance to Kensington Gardens, Notting Hill & several tube stations. front desk staff is very helpful with info on tours, buses, taxis, etc. rooms are small but very nice & cozy. street is very quiet & neighborhood is fine, but i had to venture out a little further to find decent food. never ate breakfast there since it's extra & i'd rather go to the nearby bakery or coffee shop. computers in the lobby & super small (but functioning) elevator really came in handy. overall, i would definitely recommend this place. not too shabby.
“Very Small but very Cosy rooms!”
First of all the location of this hotel is absolutely ideal for anybody visiting London for more than one night. 5 minute Walk from Bayswater tube station on the circle line, 10 minute tube ride to the centre of all the tourist attractions! The hotel itself is basic but it doesn’t try to be anything but a decent place to get your head down I think. It’s been converted from one of the old London Victorian houses (hence the name) so expect very small but very cosy rooms. We had a room in the basement. If having a phone/ 3G/ wi-fi signal is important to you, you may wish to request a higher floor. There was free wi-fi access provided in the hotel and two pay as you go internet computers in the lounge area. We had two small children with us so perhaps that’s why they banished us to the dungeon, I mean basement? The room wasn’t bad really! It was tastefully decorated, light and clean but with a family the space was very tight. It was only a bed for the night so not too much of an issue however, if you are thinking of staying here as a family, anything more than one night will become uncomfortable – unless they have bigger rooms? There was a small TV, free tea and coffee and even a fridge in the room. Again the bathroom small but clean and functional. The shower was fantastic! Good pressure well cleaned and maintained, nice hot water flow. If were ever went back here with our children we would see if they had bigger rooms but would have no issues with returning.
“I will definitely return”
My room was single so it was very small but extremely clean, with everything you would need, such as a safe, refrigerator, hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner.Coffee and tea ,the service, and the people were excellent.I will definitely come back to this hotel. The price was good, the area around it safe and also a good location.
“good value for price”
Friendly hotel and very good value for price.
“Not to shaby”
-Hotel desk workers were very nice and helpful -Hotel was very clean -Location was good, 2blocks from Bayswater Tube Station and about 4blocks from bus stop for the late night adventure seekers! -Very good value Only real downside was that the rooms were Crazy Small, I figured since two people were staying in the room it would be a bit bigger but it was extremely small!!
“ok hotel for london”
Spent three nights at lhh but would find something else if stay was longer. Never ate the breakfast as you could get more for your dollar off the street. There was no internet service, although I was told repeatedly that their was. Location to central line underground was very nice.
“Leah”
Great location in the happening Bayswater neighborhood. The hotel is just a 5 minute walk to restaurants, shops, and a few tube lines. The room was really small, but that is to be expected for London. I would definitely stay in this hotel again.
“It's Okay For The Price”
This hotel had a pretty young clientele when we were there. Breakfast costs extra and it is a continental breakfast. It's not as good as a Hampton Inn continental breakfast. The common areas are clean. The rooms are clean. The place feels safe. The staff is mediocre. But this hotel is pretty cheap by London standards. I would stay there again.
