“"Great Hotel"”

We were at the Lancaster Gate Hotel from 7/18 - 7/25/12. While the room was small, the drawer space and closet worked for the two of us and the room size didn't present a problem. The room was clean and the bathroom worked. Hot water and a great shower. We included the breakfast with our stay. There were plenty of choices. Also, had dinner one night in their restaurant. Choices weren't huge but worked for us. Our choices arrived promptly, hot, and were tastely. Service throughout our stay was excellent. The hotel is close to the London Tube. I would stay there again.

“Great location, breakfast and rooms.”

The hotel is conveniently located close to 2 Underground Stations, Queensway and Lancaster Gate. Very close to Hide Park and Kensington Gardens. Breakfast has a good variety. Staff could be more proactive in anticipating guests needs.

“Good place to stay”

after a 3 hour delay in Singapore and a 13 hour 'overnight' flight to UK we arrived at Heathrow to the coldest March that London has experienced in 50 years with temperatures of 0C and a biting wind. We were cold, very very tired and hungry. We had walked with our bags from Lancaster Gate Station and later found that Queensway tube station is much closer. Reception staff (young lady with long blonde hair) was very accommodating and helpful and we were given our room by mid-day instead of having to wait until 3pm. Room was clean and bed very comfortable. We had breakfast in the restaurant once and found the staff were a bit 'harried' and stressed but managed to get lots of people seated in a short time. Reception area was being renovated during our stay although that didn't effect us as we were on second floor. We stayed 6 nights and apart from a couple of mornings with noise from neighbouring room when we were trying to sleep (!) the hotel met our needs really well. Short walk to Queensway and Bayswater with heaps of restaurants and Tesco, Sainsbury and Spar 'Express' plus Boots Chemist and Bureau de Change on every corner.
