“Never go here”
poor soundproofing in rooms led to a sleepless night - street noise woke me up more than a dozen times. Room was dirty - specifically floors, bathroom. TV remote was coated in stains I don't even want to think about. I asked to change rooms straight away, in the evening, but was told the hotel was fully booked for the next few days. When I complained to the manager the next day, as if by magic, a rooms became immediately available. I went to this hotel to attend a conference nearby, but slept so little the first night, I could barely concentrate at the meeting. In my opinion the hotel fails at the bare minimum requirements - clean room and good night's sleep. I certainly won't be going back to this hotel
“Great if you are an ant”
I had expected a suite. Something like a one bedroom apartment in a residential (longer stay) type of hotel. I've been in London for a while, in and out of hotels, so I really wanted a "suite". That's the name of the hotel, right? Well wrong. The room was so small, once i put my suitcase down on the floor, that was it for standing room. The toilet and the sink are two feet away from a very small desk. The shower/bath is seprate (no real bathroom) and about a foot from the bed. You can literally roll from the bed into the bath. The photos of the main building are outdated by about 10-15 years. I stayed in a building accross the road. Very modern and cutsie, no recption, and it would be great if I were the size of an ant. Unfortunately, I'm a 5'6" giant. The area is nice and very residential. Close to the tube, and the staff speaks a little English. I asked for a few more hangers, because 2 was not quite enough for me, but unfortunately the hotel was fully booked so there were none to spare. Bottom line, this is a two star hotel. Not three star and certainly not four star as advertised. For the price a real rip-off.
“Check what facilities your room will have!”
Having booked this hotel as it was implied that the room would have a microwave and refrigirator - I descovered my room which was very small and pokey, tucked in behind reception - did not in fact have these facilities. When I complained at reception and showed them the expedia web site detailing these facilities I was informed that my room didn't and there was no other rooms I could move to. In addition the room was very noisy and I could hear all the comings and goings. Check very carefully exactly what room they are going to give you.
“Great boutique hotel in London”
Although the room was not exactly what I had expected, it was cozy, clean and we had our own private patio where we enjoyed the free delicious breakfast served to our room daily. Staff was friendly, helpfull and quick. Marylebonne area is wonderfull as well. There are shops, restaurants, Regents park and Baker St. underground all w/in a few min walk.
“Not Impressed”
I was moved to another room after only two nights. The new room was dirty. There were underwear and panties (YES DIRTY UNDERWEARS) left in the room. I came to the conclusion that the room was not cleaned after the previous guest checked out!.
“way overrated”
we had one of their largest rooms for our family of three. it was top floor front and very cramped. plus the elvator, which was out of service for two days, did not go to the top floor, you had to walk the last flight. many of the staff are foreign and their english is limited and they know little about london. finaly, there is a faint, but regular oder of sewage at the north end of the street. yuu can do much better. rgl new jersey
“Perfect place”
We had a perfect weekend on a perfect place in London. Friendly staff and comfort room. The breakfast in the room is very specia.
“Loved it! Stayed another night”
Whilst the room was slightly smaller than expected it had everything we could possibly need, I was travelling as I had an operation the following day and just found the staff to be wonderful, very helpful indeed. The location was perfect, a short walk from the sights and a whole array of restaurants. I would love to stay there again, the breakfast was superb and I just really cannot fault a thing.
“typical”
Typical size for London tourist hotel, small. Cleanliness was just ok. Staff was helpful and very polite. Breakfast served in room. Call for it and it is there right away. Not much variety though. Elevator(lift) extremely small, 2 people max ,annoyingly slow. Close to Baker St. tube.
“our second home when in london”
we have stayed there in 3 ocasions so far, the staff were very welcoming and supportive. the ambience of the hotel made our stay more than just another stop in yet another faceless location. the room was very comfortable with an impressive and imaginitive attention to all the small details, not even mentioning the steam room and jacussy, that made our stay just that much more comfortable. the small amenities really made it special, kitchen with all the appliances was a great deal! This along with the excellent location and breakfest in bed included in the price will ensure we make this hotel our regular home when in london. really recomend it.
