“Barely adequate”

For the low price, I suppose we should not have expected better. However, a few basics should have been provided that were missing. For example there was no toothmug, no dishes or cutlery in the "kitchenette", no chair or stool although the room was so small it would have been difficult to fit one in. (40 rooms were crammed into the building with corridors so narrow and convoluted it is hard to imagine the building could have passed fire inspections). No drawers. No dish or shelf for soap in the tiny shower. No pictures or any minimal effort at decor...a crude unpainted platform under which to stow a suitcase...a clothes rail about 3 feet above it. Forget it if you wanted to hang anything longer than a jacket.. Old stained carpeting. A safe that didn't work. Bedding appeared clean but the overall impression was not reassuring. One good point if using Gatwick Airport - the C1 bus to Victoria stops right outside the door. The area not bad - about 8 mins walk to Shepherds Bush Underground (on the convenient Central Line).

“Cheap but clean and friendly”

This hotel had poor reviews but we booked because the price was low and it was well located for an event we were attending. We found a warm welcome at the front desk and willingness to give directions. The room was basic but functional and clean, with an en suite bathroom, tea/coffee and decent quality bedding and towels. Really good value for the low price we paid and we would use them again.

“Not worth even one star”

Kensington Suite Hotel is located in an excellent neighborhood and looks good on the outside but inside is another story. The management treats customers in a surly manner- especially if you ask for anything - even an extra towel. Rooms have less than the bare minimum. For example, the shower doors in our room did not close properly so water goes all over the floor. The view in the back is of several discarded toilets littering the backyard which is overgrown and neglected. This building was, obviously, once a lovely one but the owners are not keeping it up to normal hotel standards. I would never go back or recommend it to anyone.

“Suitable”

This hotel is in a nice area, and close enough to shepherds bush station to provide convenient access to the city. However, it was probably the smallest room I have ever been in. It did come with all the appropriate amenities. The shower drain was very clogged and backed up about 3 inches of wated every time. There were always men at the reception who, as a single female traveler, I found intimidating. The room was clean and well serviced every day. They would not provied me with complementary bag hold on my last day, however, and asked for 5 quid to hold my bag, so I took it to Liverpool st station instead where, though I paid more, felt that my bag would actually be secure. While the hotel itself was suitable, it was the attitude and effort of the staff that would put me off staying here again.

“What one expects”

Hotel was what I expected in that range of the marking. A lot of facilities have been fitted into a small room; all functioned correctly. Only real problem was the cleanliness where people had left dirt and material on the room walls. The staff were very helpful and allowed a later check out then scheduled.

In5 componenti della famiglia e abbiamo prenotato due camere. Assegnate due triple ma ... una, la n. 7 grande con tre letti, uno matrimoniale e due singoli, spaziosa e con un bagno grande collocata al piano terra, parte posteriore dell'albergo, su un giardino stile "selva", assolutamente non curato. La stanza aveva due zone notte ma una era stata ricavata dall'estensione in vetro della camera verso il giardino. Per questo più fredda tanto da accendere il riscaldamento durante il nostro soggiorno. La seconda camera ci è stata assegnata al secondo piano n. 31. Accolti dall'olezzo di fogna che risaliva dagli scarichi del bagno interno, la camera, poco illuminata , aveva una sola finestra che dava su un terrazzo sporco e pieno di ventilatori dei vari condizionatori limitrofi ed era alta, tipo lucernario, che si poteva manovrare solo salendo su una sedia. Le dimensioni della camera già ridotte per una matrimoniale, l'hanno passata per una tripla aggiungendo un letto pieghevole ai piedi del letto matrimoniale che però impediva il passaggio intorno. Il bagno con doccia dal getto insufficiente aveva il lavandino di dimensioni "microscopiche". Il bagno senza finestre aveva il fan aspiratore che si è rotto quasi subito insieme alla luce principale del bagno. Segnalato il guasto alla reception non è stato mai ripristinato. Il frigo interno a un aramadio attaccato alla testriera del letto non permetteva di riposare e l'abbiamo subito spegnere. Camera cella di api. Posizione Hotel Ok.

“Hotel Kensington : un bon rapport qualité/prix”

Un bon rapport qualité prix, d'aillleurs un bon compris entre le centre et les banlieues. Chambre correcte mais avec quelques petites moisissures. Personnel très sympathique et accueillant.
