“k-west rocks!”
This hotel is exactly how it appears! With a sleek and contemporary vibe. The room was spacious, comfortable and elegant. The lobby and (free) internet area was trendy and cool with chill music playing all day, and the staff was very friendly. A hot spot for hip European travellers and bands playing at Sheperds Bush. I would stay here again!
“going downhill”
maintenance is shoddy and service is OK but you have to fight for your bill to be correct. great location on good rail with good shopping across the street. rooms are dingy, not well kept up and getting worse and worse. this is the third and last time I will be using this place. shame. better management and upkeep could go a long way. have had electrical and plumbing problems every time. access to hot water is dodgy.
“Not too bad”
Hotel is nice, but the charges for amenities are quite high - 15 pounds for daily internet, 10 pounds for each use of gym. Otherwise, it's in a nice location, convenient to the subway and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I did like the overall ambiance.
“A great find at a reasonable price”
I was happy to discover this hotel! My accommodations included a large room and bathroom, refrigerator in the room, ice machine and quiet surroundings in a residential neighborhood. Within a 2 block radius, there was a tube and bus station, a variety of restaurants, a mail drop box, a grocery store, and a STARBUCKS! An added plus was the free computer and internet access. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again!
“Hotel Sucks!”
We were moved to 3 different rooms in 4 days! First room smelled and was VERY dark...second room was also dark and the blow dryer wouldn't work and there was NO hot water in the morning. The third room had no washcloths and the hair dryer wouldn't work at all. Plus the hallway is about 2 miles long and they put us all the way at the end. We might have been in France. Also, the hallways are VERY dark and all the carpets look horribly stained! Gross hotel!
“Fantastic hotel off the beaten track!”
I can't wait to stay at the K West next time I go to London! This gem of a hotel was a quick walk from the Shepherds Bush tube stop (Central Line, which means it's easy to get anywhere in London). It was clean, my room was large (Junior Double) and the staff was friendly. The neighborhood is a bit more working class than next door Holland Park/Notting Hill, but everything you would ever need is right there in Shepherds Bush Green - Starbucks, a large brand new mall, shops, etc. I highly recommend this hotel!
“Getting worse... no longer worth the price or frustration”
As a frequent traveler to London, we have used the K-West at least six times over the past few years and I always recommended it for certain types of stays. It used to be a good price, decent room and OK service in a good location. You could overlook sometimes dirty rooms or stains or plugged drains (with some creepy things, I might add) because it was cheap enough and close to Westfield and Central Line station. Only the location is worthy of note anymore. Now, there are maintenance issues: hot water does not work, even after changing rooms twice. Calling the front desk every day for 5 days only resulted in the eventual explanation that the demand was too high for the hotel. They recommended showering after 11 am or late at night. Really? Is that the best you can do? In addition, we had a hairdryer actually explode burning my wife's arm (about 3 inches across), singeing a patch in the carpet and blackening the wall socket. The result? Management appeared only to hand us a new hairdryer. That was their complete response. We eventually moved hotels halfway through the trip to somewhere else. This will be our last stay the the K-West. Can not recommend it anymore.
“PAY AS YOU GO HOTEL!!!”
PAY AS YOU GO HOTEL!!!!! The pool (just a large jacuzzi) and sauna were NOT AMMENITIES, a total extra of GBP 40 each time! And the cash-deposit I made for my room on my debit card of GBP400 still hasn´t been refunded! PS Facilities are pretty but customer service is zero stars! None of the problems I reported with the hotel management were met with consideration or dealt with at all!
“not happy”
TOO FAR FROM CENTER OF TOWN.
“A reliable hotel in UK”
