“London weekend stay”
Nice, comfortable hotel for a one night stay. Accomodating staff when requesting a room change. Didn't eat at the hotel but eating amenities within walking distance of the hotel which we tried. 15 minutes walk each way to Kingscross or Russell Square tube stops. Russell Square is a far more senic route and we chose this route everytime we needed the tube.
“Out of the Way”
This hotel is rated as 4 stars but I feel it only deserves 3 stars at best. The location is very poor being at least 10 - 15 minutes away from the nearest tube station and in a somewhat shady area.
“Holiday Inn only!”
Helpful staff, unobtrusive service. Clean comfortable hotel with spacious rooms. So welcoming and charming. I do recommend this cute hotel.
“Value for money paid”
Hotel and staff as expected for a Holiday Inn. No frills but entirely adequate. Room clean and staff friendly, We ate in the restaurant once for dinner and once for breakfast. The hotel was not very conveniently located for us, but as we booked on expedia mystery deals site we can't blame the hotel !
“Nice Hotel”
Well kept Hotel. Only drawback is that it is not that close to the underground.
“London hotel”
Nice hotel. Very good price for the location. Very nice Indian restaurant inside the hotel which serves Kerala cuisine. One block away there is a street with many nice restaurants.
“Too far to transport”
Although the hotel is nice and clean it is a long way to walk to pick up the underground and for that reason it makes it not at convenient
“Very good - a couple of things!”
All staff very helpfull and the hotel met my family needs, however. I purchased a soft drink from the shop in the foyer. He tried to charge £2.50 for a bottle of Tango clearly marked £0.89. Don't buy from this shop! During my 2 night stay ITV and Channel 4 were not available to watch. The staff explained it was a technical fault. In my experience the Bar Manager needed to understand customer care, he didn't appear to be able to smile and didn't seem to like children!
“New hotel still has bugs to be worked out”
Inauspicious beginning: they not only gave away our room to someone else, but let that person sign my credit receipt and reservation! They were very nice about it and did straighten it out (we think), but they didn't really apologize or offer something like free breakfast to make up for the fact that they kept us standing in the lobby for over 30 minutes while they tried to understand what they did wrong. And it was 85 outside and no A/C in the lobby (making it about 110 inside the lobby)...awful start. Room was small but just fine for us--telephone didn't work; did not get a wake up call; no A/C-had to keep windows open and listen to the neighbors and alley people all night. And then they had a problem with the fire alarm system so we had to evacuate in the pouring rain to a back alley at night--while they determined it was okay. Newly remodeled--still has some work to do, but it was clean and convenient to Metro..I would stay again sometime, but not for 3-6 months while they get their act together. Their in-room wifi worked well and was relatively cheap--$8 for 24 hours.
“THIS LOCATION HAS A GOOD VIBE”
Charming area with a lot of pubs and bistros. good and easy transportation to central London.
