“A 'well used' hotel but as expected.”

The room was 'well used' and the furniture and carpets were looking a bit grubby and dirty. However, the bed was clean and comfortable. The cost is reasonable by London standards and the hotel is well located with only a short walk from Old Street Station. Don't expect a cooked breakfast (cereals, fruit, and bread only), but quite filling.

“close to the metro station”

The hotel is near the metro station, within 5 minutes walk, but the surrounding area is not so nice and a bit noisy in the evening. The bed is too soft. Breakfast choices are poor.

“Perfectly Comfortable”

The location (Old Street/Islington) is convenient for my work in UK. If you only require somewhere comfortable to sleep and no more then this is ideal.

“well done Holiday Inn”

Can't understand why this hotel is not rated higher. Staff were polite and helpful. Room was clean, a reasonable size and with a decent view overlooking a small square owned by a university. Breakfast was good and filling and it was only a five minute walk from the tube ( northern line). Only slightly marked down because I found the bed too soft for my dodgy back. Well done Holiday Inn, this is the second one I've stayed in and have been impressed on both occasions
