3rd time unlucky

Posted 27-Jan-2015
The executive room had an ajoining door and when in bed I could hear every word of next doors conversation and at 4am this wasn't good. This is my 3rd time here and would not have a executive room again

Excellent traveler's hotel, but....

Posted 07-Jan-2015
Pros: Very clean, comfortable and quiet.
Cons: The restaurants where good, but the rates were high for the food.
Location: The location was very poor and is really the reason I've gone from 5 to 4 stars. There was no shuttle to the other terminals.
My husband and I stayed here overnight on our way from flying out of Heathrow and I got this room as a sale deal on Expedia. We travel quite a bit out of LHR and usually stay at 4-5* hotels on Bath Road. This Hilton was very good, not luxurious but very comfortable and in line with American standards. The hotel location was not the best as it was located outside of Terminal 5 in an industrial zone and it was not very close and was rather inconvenient to the other terminals. We required a taxi ride (£25) to T3. The shuttle only went to T5. The restaurants were very good, but very pricy. The two meals we had (lunch and dinner) cost us about £80, negating any savings we got from the sale on the room rate. There was no place nearby to eat at as the hotel is in an industrial zone. By the time we paid the taxi and the high restaurant prices, the cost of a closer and equally nice hotel would have been made up. A money saving tip- I wasn't feeling well and ordered room service off of the children's menu and the meal I had (hamburger and chips for £6) was enough for an adult.

Nothing to write home about.

Posted 16-Dec-2014
Pros: Room quite nice if you are prepared to decode all the switches and temperature settings without help of bellhop, none of which seemed available.
Cons: Make sure adequate help is available for services at all times. Provide commercial cleanser packet to pre-wash room glassware.
Location: It is in Slough. Ask a native for pronounciation.
Heathrow Terminal 5 makes travel to and from local hotels dependent on taxies for late arrivals, early departures. Taxi fare LHR to hotel 13 Pounds. Local commercial transport hotel to LHR5 better deal (4.5 Pounds), easy to use as ticket for departure sold by Hotel. 20 minutes travel to LHR5 IAP from this hotel. Early morning traffic, plus weather can affect this easily. Room and other areas spotless upon arrival 2030 hours, only one desk attendant. Departure 0600 three attendants, receipt not offered by desk. Check your credit cards closely on availability. Breakfast begins 0630, unusable for departures at LHR5 before 1030.

Nice Hotel

Posted 16-Dec-2014
Pros: Rooms, hallways etc...were spacious (unlike most hotels). Beds and bedding were very comfortable.
Cons: Only challenge is the lighting...bathrooms were very dark. That can be extremely frustrating when you are trying to get ready.
We enjoyed our stay in the hotel. Was very pleasant for an 'airport' hotel.

Handy for the airport

Posted 24-Nov-2014
Pros: The location is very convenient to the airport.
Location: The hotel is very close to Terminal 5 at Heathrow.
Very convenient location. The hotel has a good selection of restaurants, which is good since there's nothing else much nearby. However, if you simply need an overnight stay for an early flight from Heathrow the next morning, this is a good choice. The room is comfortable, well appointed, and has the usual selection of items, such as an iron, hair-dryer, and toiletries. The prices are a little steep generally, but then that's only to be expected.

This is NOT terminal 5!

Posted 23-Nov-2014
What a lie. This hotel is no where near Terminal 5, in fact it's a £35 flat fare ride from the terminal at night to get to the hotel. No free service is provided to get you to terminal 5, they will charge you £5 a head, each way just to get to and from the terminal they claim to be located at. Staff were very average.

new modern hotel at T5

Posted 16-Nov-2014
Pros: Since this hotel is not that old the rooms are very tidy and nice. There is very ample parking which has been a problem with other hotels near LHR.
Have stayed at many hotels at Heathrow and now only stay here. The only downside is that you have to be careful taking a taxi to the hotel as it can be expensive.
