Don't be deceived by the name!

Posted 03-May-2015
This is a nice hotel but it's not located at or connected to Terminal 5. They don't even have shuttle service. You have to fork over 9 pounds for a round trip "Hoppa" bus ticket where the driver will spend 10 minutes at one stop trying to cram more people into a hot standing-room-only bus, turning a 15 minute bus trip into a 30 minute affair. The room was nice and the staff was superb, but the bed was awful.

Not at Terminal 5, and not terribly close either

Posted 27-Apr-2015
This hotel has several positive qualities, and some other qualities to be considered in advance. First, the name is misleading. There is a Hilton "attached" to Terminal 4, but this one is neither attached nor close; it's more acquaintance than friend. However, the staff are helpful and kind, the service is as personalized as you would prefer, and there are two dining rooms, one which is more traditional with an excellent menu of choices and the other is Asian in flavor and replicates a famous London restaurant. Mechanically very modern, with room cards being needed for lights and HVAC, and it may use a geothermal HVAC. Because of that, guests desiring to lower the temp in their rooms will find change occurs at the speed of the Pleistocene glaciation, and the range in temps available was only from 19C to 21C. In Fahrenheit, from 66.2 to 69.8. We lowered the temp as far as possible, and tried to sleep without covers. According to the staff, they "are working on" changing it so individual rooms have more adjustment, no timeframe was given. Hotel is served by hotel buses from T5, but we couldn't find bus location #57 to use it. By cab, one finds the 35GBP fixed rate for cabs leaving Heathrow. If using Heathrow as a base camp with a rental car to explore England, this could work very well. If London is on the list, or for overnight transit, stay closer to public transport or w/i walk distance of your terminal.

A good choice in the T5 vicinity

Posted 25-Mar-2015
Location: About 10 minutes from T5 by shuttle bus.
Very pleasant on all accounts. Stayed in Exec. King room which was lovely. I couldn't figure out how to get hot water in the shower in the morning, but surely that was either my lack of technical ability or something that would be fixed right away. The staff was particularly attentive and friendly throughout, from front desk to bar to coffee stand. The person at the coffee bar in the morning, upon hearing my cold shower story, apologized on behalf of the hotel and insisted on going to the front desk to report it. If I had to stay in the T5 vicinity again I would give this hotel another try.

You expect more from Hiltons

Posted 09-Mar-2015
Pros: The staff were very friendly and the breakfast buffet was excellent.
Cons: The services apon arrival, departure etc are very good, I cannot think of any specifics that need improvement other than refurbishment of rooms.
Location: Nothing, its on the edge of an industrial estate in the middle of nowhere.
The room was very dated and not what you would expect from Hiltons. The bathroom was very dated with the shower was over the bath. No tea bags in room ??. To describe it as Hilton T5 is absurd its 15minutes away on a bus that only runs twice an hour. I know Hilton Colnbrook does not have marketing appeal but thats what it is.

3rd time unlucky

Posted 27-Jan-2015
The executive room had an ajoining door and when in bed I could hear every word of next doors conversation and at 4am this wasn't good. This is my 3rd time here and would not have a executive room again
