“great convienient location,”
15 minutes after leaving Euston we were in our room, superb location for short stay sight seeing visit. rooms are comfortable and clean. great buffet breakfast. will stop again next time.
“Shabby, small, but convenient location”
This hotel's saving grace is its location - it's a 5 minute walk from Euston, so it's great to be able to catch a train without the hassle of the Tube. However, the hotel itself is outdated and tired. The standard room we were in had no room to swing a cat - the bed was up against a wall and there were no bedside tables. The ironing board had no padding, so our evening wear quickly resembled the diamond-shaped-pattern of the underlying metal. The telly was a tiny little box with hardly any reception. The next morning, we had no water for a shower, and after reporting it, the staff took so long to send somebody that it was time for us to go and catch our train, despite their offer to let us into another room to have a shower. The breakfast was basic, and not as good quality as you'd expect from a Hilton. All in all, you can probably get a similar room in an unbranded hotel for a cheaper price, but the location of this hotel will always mean the hotel will have steady clientele and no incentive to improve the little niggles.
“Dissappointing”
When booking a Hilton hotel, you expect a high level of accomodation. Sadly this hotel is out dated. The room, whilst spacious, was stuck in the 80s. The television was an old style massive box. The picture was terrible. the furniture was free standing and grubby. the marble bathroom was aesthetically pleasing but impractical. There was an inconspicuous step into the bathroom which we all tripped/fell over on a few occassions. The shower was over the bath, the bath being high so was difficult for the more senior of us to step into. The shower head had been replaced but did not fit the holder. The quality therefore was poor. The location was good. However, we could have stayed in a premier inn or other cheaper hotel which were very close by. We paid the extra for the luxury of the Hilton, however this was not a good decision. I wouild advise to book a different hotel, same location. The staff however were excellent.
“Good hotel”
Hotel within walking distance of Euston and kings cross station. Quiet location. Some restaurants on Euston Road but nicer area if you walk to Covent garden, bloomsbury area. Hotel rooms decent size. Good breakfast. Front desk staff could be friendlier and smile more! Within walking distance about 10 mins.of British Museum which is brilliant continue for another 10 mins to get to Covent garden. Hotel near tube station 2 mins walk. Just as cheap if few sharing a taxi to get around.
“Convenient and clean”
Overall, this is a good hotel for a family. It is very close to the train and our room was clean. The decor in the room did look old, but it was satisfactory for what you basically need at a decent price.
“Lovely Hotel in a great location. Would stay there again”
We had a few problems with air conditioning during our first two days, but the hotel offered a free meal, along with free wifi as restitution on our return stay three days later. Getting the wifi to work with several passwords/codes was a bit cumbersome. The hotel offers a wonderful breakfast, and the staff was very helpful.
“Very Functional and Convenient to London Euston Station”
Found the staff to be extremely helpful and services (access to wireless internet) very useful. Convenience to London Euston station extremely good. The room was very functional.
“Great hotel just a stone's throw from Euston station”
This was my second stay at this hotel and I knew from previous experience that I could expect great service and a little bit of luxury in an ideal location. The hotel is a hop, a skip and a jump from Euston station, with the British Library a short walk in one direction, and the British Museum and Covent Garden a short walk in the other through charming Bloomsbury - ideal for culture vultures! The hotel is well furnished and well maintained, and my room was a decent size - and positively generous compared to some I've stayed in before! Although the hotel is on a main road, there was very little noise disturbance (with the exception of the rather soothing hourly peals from St Pancras Church which is just over the road). I would certainly recommend this hotel - it has a great location, well presented and tidy rooms, attentive staff, and an excellent breakfast buffet...it was an absolute bargain at the Expedia sale rate I paid, but it would be value for money at normal rates too.
“nice hotel, horrible beds”
Great location near Euston station and underground. Hotel very pleasant and staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast excellent. Good 4 star. The only thing I can complain about is the extremely uncomfortable bed. Which would put me off going back as it was so uncomfortable I slept badly and was in extreme pain.
“Convenient location”
We wanted comfortable accomodation, with the expected Hilton service, which we received. One of the main reasons for choosing this hotel in this part of London, was the convenience to St Pancras Station - which we were able to walk to with our luggage. The Tube is nearby and lots of shops etc too. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.
