    “Could not fault this hotel”

    Fantastic hotel! Great location near canary wharf and within two minutes of South Quay DLR stop, and very easy access to the O2 arena. Modern interior, very spacious rooms, friendly staff, fantastic variety at breakfast buffet, and a lovely quiet and relaxing atmosphere- overall cannot find a single fault with this hotel and would highly recommend.

    Getting there
    From central London take the DLR line from Bank (in the direction of Lewisham) to South Quay station, from which hotel is a couple of minutes walk in the direction of canary wharf.

    “Excellent location for the O2”

    We were looking for a hotel close to the O2 and picked the Hilton based on previous reviews. The hotel is conveniently located within a 5 minute walk from the Canary Wharf tube in a safe and friendly neighborhood. Upon arrival we were greeted by courteous staff and were fortunate to be upgraded to an Executive suite free of charge. The room was spotless and contained a large screen TV, hair dryer and ironing board. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide variety of hot and cold choices to suit all diets and tastes and once again the staff were excellent. The West End is a speedy 15 minutes away on the Jubilee line and the O2 only one stop away at North Greenwich. A word of warning to anyone attending an event with a possible late finish at the O2. We were faithfully told by the O2 staff that London Underground lay on extra trains to cope with such eventualities, They don't so either leave plenty of time to catch the last tube back or expect to pay a £20 taxi fare back to the hotel.

    Getting around
    Tourists are being penalised by London Underground simply for not owning/using Oyster cards. Compared to other major cities the single fares on the tube are pretty pricey.

    “Living the high life in Canary Wharf!”

    We Stayed at the Hilton Canary Wharf over the weekend, I got it in 72 hour sale for the price of a buget hotel and could never had afforded if it hadnt been on offer, but i can see it would be worth the full price. Its in a very easy to reach area, just across a foot brigde for canary whalf, look up i the sky when you come out of the tube stop and you will see it! We arrived rather late, to find we had been bumped up to a deluxe room, which was a very nice surprise, when checking in i left some gig ticket on the desk, which were brought up to us as soon as we got to our room, very honest and nice of the staff. The room was massive, clean, comfortable, with lots of freebies and even speakers on the bathroom! A very comfortable nights sleep. The veiw from the room wasnt too great, looking into a courtyard, but that didnt matter at all as the room was amazing to be in, you didnt need to look out the window! The breakfast was very good, with all the hot and cold food you would want to eat at that time in the morning! This it the best hotel i have ever and proberally will ever stay in in london, book it now, you wont be let down.

    Area recommendations
    Visit Grenwich park (take the dlr down to cutty scak), there is an amazing veiw of london from there. Eat in the Hardrock Cafe (in old park lane near green park) Explore all the free museams and gallerys and have fun!!

    “Fantastic Stay - modern, spacious, and delicious buffet breakfast!”

    This hotel was very close to the tube station - about 15 mins to London. The room was very spacious and modern. Buffet breakfast was phenomenal - everything you could possibly want in a morning meal.

    “Terrific accommodations in a modern setting”

    The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful during our stay, unlike the faux politeness and service encountered in much of North America. The modern facilities and many restaurants in the area make it easy to go out for a meal. Nestled in the Isle of Dogs, in an area of London that is a modern workplace of some 93,000 professionals, it is always busy. You are close to the Canary Wharf tube station to easily get to central London for sight seeing. The waterways around the hotel make for a scenic environment amongst the tall buildings. The hotel is clean and modern and very well maintained. For business or pleasure, we'd certainly go back.

    There is so much to see in London so it pays to pick and choose what you want to see and do before you go. We limited ourselves to 2 major attractions for most days in London. Give yourself time to enjoy the experience, and sample the British fare like a high tea.

    “Would definitely use this hotel again”

    Very nice, modern, clean hotel, large room. Good service received. Good breakfast. Would stay here again if we were visiting same part of London.

    “Perfect stop”

    Perfect hotel far enough from teh real hustle and close enough to be where the London action is. Canary Wharf underground and DLR few minutes walk and within 20 minutesd your in the west end. Great service, recommend !

    “Great location”

    This was a great hotel for family travel. It was close to the DLR and Tube stops. The local neighborhood had a lot to see. Didn't realize that until the end of the stay and missed out on a couple of things. The breakfast had a great selection. I especially liked the omlettes. The breakfast was included in the room rate, otherwise I wouldn't have paid extra...too expensive. I'd recommend getting an Oyster card to travel with. It's definately the best option.

    I liked this area because it was nice to get out of the hustle and bustle of city center, but still have plenty to do.
