“LOVELY LOCATION”
LOVELY LOCATION NEAR PARKS, FRIENDLY STAFF GOOD VALUE
“Hampstead Britannia Hotel, Primrose Hill, London, NW3 3NA.”
Quite a nice hotel. My room was in the basement which seemed to be a more recently decorated area than the rest of the hotel. My room seemed quite modern and new compared to my friend's room on the 3rd floor. However, my room had no windows or aircon so it did feel a bit warm after a hot shower, etc. Also, when I woke up I couldn't tell if it was the morning or if I'd woken up in the middle of the night due to not being able to see any daylight, so I had to check the clock on my phone. There didn't seem to be many staff around and they seemed a bit stressed, but they they were polite and efficient (just not particularly happy). The hotel does have a few car parking spaces but you'd have to be lucky to get one. As it happens I was lucky enough to get the last one so that made me happy. All in all it was a nice place to stay and I would definitely stay there again.
“A nice hotel in general”
The facilities and the services were pretty good. What was terrible was the food. I would stay there again, but wouldn't eat a thing.
“Would return”
A hotel in need of renovation. However this is made up for by it's location both for travel and shops/pubs/retaurants nearby.
“Does the Job”
Hotel getting frayed around the edges but if you have to stay around Swiss Cottage and need a room to sleep in then it fits the bill. No frills but nothing to complain about at the price.
“Cheap place, close to Candem Town”
The location of the hotel is great if you are looking for a quiet neighbourhood and you don't mind the 30 minutes tube trip to Central London. However, the hotel rooms are not well maintained (condensation and mold in windows, smelly carpets) and it was cold at night since the heating was not on and the windows are not double-glazed. The food in the restaurant is rather bad as well, and they didn't have ice on the bar for drinks. I would say it's not worth the 3 stars, but not too bad for the price.
“Cheap & Cheerful”
Great location, dated rooms, and very small, but those with balcony were a fantastic addition, and not expected. Lobby is cosy and small, smart & quick service.
“A convenient place to stay but in need of an update”
A basic hotel, in a very convenient position, but in need of some modernisation. Initially we were offered a room below ground level, with no natural light, although this was changed when we requested it. Ideal for a London base, but not a luxurious place to stay
“overrated for price”
overrated for price
“Cheap and cheerful”
Staff friendly and helpful, however bathroom a bit poor and decor too. Suited my family as we were visiting relatives in this area.
