“Small and neat”
The pleasant staff make this place. The beds are comfortable and services excellent. The location is perfect for central London. On arrival I was placed in a room with a "put away" bed, the kind that drops down from a wardrobe. I complained and was moved the following day.. Housekeeping don't change the sheets, they make your bed (assuming you hang the car to tell them). That said, the sheets and towels are good quality and clean. The laundry service sent back damp shirts, wrapped in plastic and neatly bed. So remember to take them out to dry. Did not try the food, but have eaten here before (on a seminar) and it was very good, Overall, good value for money and worth returning to.
“Best service in any hotel ever!”
This hotel was 4 stars, compared with every other 5 star hotel I have stayed in this hotel should have 6 stars for services. ALL the staff from desk to cleaners said hello and were extremely helpful. If it is an intimate personal hotel in a super location in London then this is the one. From a seasoned travelled and ex. London resident.
“Good hotel be back again”
Good hotel,Nice location,Service very good,2 blocks from metro and 1 block from the British museum.
“Very Reasonable”
The price was very reasonable and the accommodations were excellent. Not many of the cabdrivers were familiar with the hotel, but if you told them Montague Street near the British Museum, they would get you there.
“Lovely location right in the heart of Bloomsbury”
We stayed here at the beginning of June '10 and found it a lovely hotel. Staff were pleasant and helpful and checked us in swiftly with no trouble. We were very impressed with the quality of the room - Exceedingly spacious and airy (Usually hotel rooms in London tend towards the pokey side). The hotel has a garden to the rear which I advise using if the weather permits - A lovely bit of solitude in the heart of London. The major benefit of this hotel is the location which is right round the corner (300m max) from the British Museum - still free after all these years! Yay! Also wandering round the bookshops of Bloomsbury is a major pleasure for me and I fully recommend this activity to the literary minded of you. Fifteen mins saunter brings you to Covent garden with a plethora of street entertainers willing to perform for your delectation. Overall I can't recommend this Hotel too highly. The Expedia price was a quarter of the walk-off-the-street price. (although I did book that 3 months in advance). A lovely hotel with great staff.
“A lovely London experience”
The hotel was in a quiet location but close to Oxford Street and the tube. A bus stop was at the end of the street. The staff were professional and very helpful and assisted us with our luggage. The room was very impressive, roomy with a couch and large windows overlooking the garden. The bathroom was clean and well maintained. A lovely hotel.
“Great hotel for evryone.”
Very friendly staff, lovely comfortable room overlooking the garden so nice and quiet too. Ver pleased with the 2-night stay.
“Beautiful and Peaceful”
I really enjoyed my stay. The room was small but beautilful--I had a room that overlooked the garden and I could see the walls of the British Museum. The bed was a canopy bed--dark wood and soft, white linens. I had some jetlag so I woke up early and watched the sunlight slowly fill the garden and I could hear birds singing. It was very peaceful. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful--they really went out of their way for me. The location was perfect as I wanted to visit the British Museum. I found the breakfast expensive but it is in line with similar hotels (food is always too expensive). I would strongly recommend this hotel.
“Good price, good location”
The room was comfortable. The bed was nice and the bathroom was a good size (even by American standards). The location is next door to the British Museum and close to the Russlle Square tube station (From Heathrow airport, you can take the Piccadilly line to the Russlle Square station with no transfers) . It's a few blocks away from the Euston Train station. It's only a modest walk from the Soho/Carnaby Street area and Oxford St shopping district. There was a free wireless internet signal available in the room, though I don't believe it was supplied by the hotel. For what amounts to a cheap hotel by London standards, it was a nice place on a quiet street within a few tube stations distance of anything you would want to see in London.
“good location, good service”
