“nice comfy hotel well located but...”

hotel was nice. location was perfect but rooms are really small and lack of air conditioner (small fan in the closet) can convert your nights in a long hot HOT night. Rest was OK.

“Value for money”

Stayed a few days at the Grange Rochester. 15 minute walk to Victoria Station. Hotel was clean, bed comfortable, very happy with stay there.

“Recommended”

This was a nice clean hotel. I was impressed with the extra bed that they had put in the room for my daughter. It was only a 5 - 6 minute walk to Victoria Station and the underground. The neighborhood was nice and I think I got a really good rate all considered.

“Very convenient location.”

Good bits: excellent location for walking to Victoria station and access to buses. Just off Victoria Street, 15-20 minute walk to Westminster Abbey. Clean & tidy with good level of service. Bad bits: twin room was really quite small and that is the theme of the hotel generally with only a residents bar with limited selection and no pool or gym etc but then we knew that when booking. Ate out for breakfast as £24 for full english seemed a little steep. That said good location,clean,good service,nice area. Would recommend it but be aware of breakfast cost and limited facilities.

“Rochester's residence”

The hotel stands in a relatively quiet area, but it is very close from Victoria Station. Not extremely traditional, but I could feel a bit of "British" atmosphere, which was very good. The room was clean. The color of the curtain, bed cover and furniture was matched and very pretty. It was very comfortable. It was pity that I stayed only one night, because I had to go to other place on the next day. I stayed at the Grange White Hall near the BM before, so I had a bit of idea what kind of the hotel it would be, so I felt like "I came back". I would bring my family next time to stay a bit longer to enjoy London.

“Nice place to stay”

Everything went well. The room was small, but nice. Being April, the lack of air conditioning was not much of a problem, but the room did get a bit warm. The location was great for us because we were able to walk to many of the sites.

“Not impreesed, a Joke actually!”

The location was the best part about this hotel. The rest, was a joke and honnestly discraceful. Here are the issues we had. The first day we arrived we noticed that there was no heating in the bathroom. The floors were marble and there was a huge window so at night, it felt like you were going to the outhouse, it was freezing. We told the front desk & it took them over 24 hours to get it sorted. At one point I went to open a drawer at the desk and the front of the drawer came out in my hands. Next, we were about to head out to a show, flushed the toilet and it kept running, enough that it began to leak onto the floor. So while we were at the show they had the plumber come and fix the toilet. The following morning, we were up nice and early ready to go out on an excursion...well to our surprise (actually by this time nothing much surprised us), there was no cold water, so there was no way we could have a shower without burning ourselves. That night after returning from our day out, we had a bottle of wine in our room. This does not compensate for any of the issues. We had pre-booked 4 nights at this hotel and I would not return here.

“Decent Value”

The Grange Rochester really felt like decent value for the money. The location was pretty convenient, with Victoria Station in easy walking distance. Also, Parliament and the West End were not far, though the neighborhood was still quiet. I did have trouble with internet connectivity in the room, but that was my only complaint.

“Good London Hotel”

This hotel is in a great location, very close to Westminster Abby and overlooks a nice green park. The hotel room we had was very spacious for London standards, and exceeded my expectations. Had a bit of trouble with the internet connection though and made numerous complaints/inquiries. The staff was very good at coming up to my room to tell me that yes there was a problem, but weren't so good at following through and fixing the problem. I only had internet access for the first night, and then it stopped working altogether and was never fixed. However, they were still wanting to charge me for my limited internet usage. I refused to pay after having a small discussion with the manager. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in the Westminster area of London, I just wouldn't recommend trying to get internet!
