“"Great Location"”
5 min. to London Tower. 3 min. to Tower Hill Tube. Okay restraunts nearby. Not 5 star quality.
“Beautiful hotel just a block from the Tower of London”
Luxurious and excellent value at the rate I received. Great access to Tower of London; great tube access. Long taxi ride to Paddington Station to get the rapid Heathrow train to/from airport

Good location. Good Service.
“Janet Stevens”
Very convenient--right off the Tower Hill tube stop. Clean, quiet, and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.
“Mixed results”
Front desk staff was excellent, but first room assigned (in "old section", 2nd floor, no view) was filthy. The decorative pillows and red velvet bedcover had crusty stains of what clearly looked like human origin. The bed linen had hairs all over it (although the bed had been made up). I immediately went back to the desk and they assigned a new room straight away. The next room was acceptably clean, on the 8th floor of the "old" section, but still there were two long hairs on the pillowcases which is not so appealing. The TV then malfunctioned by turning itself on about 5 times overnight until I unplugged it in frustration after the front desk was unable to resolve the situation. (The next day I had a letter apologising and saying the TV issue was a computer problem which had been resolved, with a fruit plate.) I have stayed in literally thousands of hotel rooms in the past for work and leisure, and this was more 4-star than 5. Furniture in both rooms was nice but was chipped/scratched/clearly worn. Bathrooms in good condition, but standard towels/linen quality. The mattress was surprisingly uncomfortable for this class of hotel: hard and lumpy at the same time, with uncomfortable "anti-allergy" pillows. I would have preferred a choice of a natural-fill pillow as most business-class hotels have, and definitely the mattresses need replacing. My second room did have a great view of the Tower of London. The location of this hotel is ideal for city work and transport links.
“Expedia bargain, affordable luxury”
Great value deal from expedia - we'd wanted to stay at this hotel before with prices 3 or 4 times higher! Everything about the hotel was as expected from a hotel of this standard and reputation. Huge room, lovely bathroom, attention to detail in every aspect. I would recommend this place to anyone.
“Great hotel.”
We loved the hotel. The staff was courteous and very helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and clean plus our view was the Tower of London and the London Bridge. We would definitely go back.
“Nice hotel but very small room.”
This was a very conveniently located hotel, literally a one minute walk from the nearest tube station. The staff were very friendly and checking in took no more than a minute or so. The only downside was the small bedroom and the view - literally over a grey concrete roof and the back of another building. This was a shame from our point of view, knowing many of the rooms overlooked the Tower of London (aparently). The room was however very clean, the bed comfortable and the bathroom very nice. We only stayed one night so the small area and view were not a problem, but I think if someone was staying a week or more, it might be a bit much! My girlfriend is American so I think she especially thought the room by American standards was tiny!
“New Hotel, Large Room for family of 4”
I brought my family of 4 to London for a week, (daughters ages 21 and 15). Our room was spacious, and everyone had their own bed. I was jet-lagged and was able to find space in the room to turn on a light and read away from everyone sleeping. We used the Tower Hill Tube Station which was right down the street from the hotel. We found several good places to eat breakfast and lunch that were around the corner from the hotel. For dinner, we ventured out to St Katherines Dock and even to the restaurants across the Tower Bridge.
“Wonderful stay”
We have had the privilege of having stayed at great places throughout our travels, and The Grange City was another great experience to add on that list of ours. Truly a great place, the staff is outstanding! Definitely a hotel we will go back to again.
