“Highly recommended!”
I cannot fault this hotel. We asked for an early check in, which we got without fuss. The room was well designed, clean. The bathroom was clean and had a good sized powerful shower, a bath would have been nice but no big deal really. The service was first class. After returning to the hotel soaked from rain I went to the bar for a hot chocolate to warm up. The barman refused payment as he said I had waited an unacceptable amount of time for service (2 or 3 minutes max)!!! Excellent breakfast. Would def return and recommend!
“Will definitely go back”
This hotel has to be one of the best I have stayed in. I booked for a party of ten of us who were celebrating our 60th. We wanted to see a show and have a hotel slightly off the beaten track that had a good restaurant. I couldn't have picked better. The hotel is a short walk from Pimlico Station and in a quiet road. It ticked all the boxes and the customer service was superb, even to the manager taking a group picture of us all! Our dinner in the evening was extremely good with our table being away from the rest of the diners - I guess just in case we became raucous - which shows how much they look after all their guests. The service by all the wait staff was brilliant and the food very good. Our rooms were very lovely with everything we needed and were clean and tidy. We are hoping to repeat our trip to London on a bi-yearly basis and will definitely stay here again. I can't praise it enough.
“Great”
Dont hesitate. Just book and go - and enjoy. You would have to try VERY hard to find something wrong! We ate in the restaurant - food and service first class. Rooms just exactly what you want and need. Will certainly use the Mint Hotel again.
“Will Be back”
Overall a very nice hotel, perfectly situated for our sightseeing trip. Surprisingly quiet location, yet only 5 mins walk from the Houses of Parliament, 10 from the London Eye, and 15 from Trafalgar Square! The staff were excellent, made us very welcome, and couldn't do enough for us during our time there. We will be back!
“Good Hotel in London - and it's not often you can say that”
An excellent hotel in almost every aspect. It was a great location - not in the West End or near loads of bars and restaurants but easy walking distance along some of the great historical streets of London. The room was a decent size, very clean with good bedding. We only had a shower in the bathroom but that was perfectly adequate and worked well. We didn't try the restaurant for either evening meal or breakfast so can't comment on that. Check in and out staff were pleasant and efficient. The only downside is that they have a very fancy iMac to run the TV, Radio, Internet, etc. It's complicated to use even for someone well used to computers so beware. There's no movie channel and you use DVD's which you have to ask for (and they had none when I asked!). Finally the screen is tiny if you want to watch in bed. A good case of form over function. Still we were hardly there for the telly!
“Excellent, well-situated hotel”
One of the best hotels I've stayed in for a long time. We checked in after a long day at Wimbledon and made a late reservation for dinner. All of the staff in the reception and in the restaurant were efficient and friendly. We both felt that the restaurant was outstanding: food and service were extremely good and even the bill was a pleasant surprise. The bedroom had an IMac computer which served as the TV as well as giving free internet access - easy to use and very effective. We will definitely treat the City Inn as our first choice London hotel in future.
“Will stay there again”
Excellent location for a trip to London (either a short stay or a long stay). Only a short walk from the tube station. The hotel was very clean, and the room was very comfortable. It was nice to have bath robes and nice toilitries in the bathroom. The bathroom and shower was kept very clean. It was not noisy from the traffic outside. The staff at reception gave good service and were friendly. The food at the hotel was very reasonable and well presented. The bar staff and restaurant service was excellent.
“Very impressed”
This is an excellent hotel. My wife and I arrived early having caught the 7am flight to London. The young lady at reception was very polite, efficient and helpful and allowed us to book into our room early. Our room wasn`t huge but was clean and had a very comfortable bed. Free internet access was a nice bonus as many other hotels charge extortionate rates for internet access and the applemac doubled as a tv screen. Our room rate didn`t include breakfast but we had the continental breakfast which wasn`t too expensive but was absolutely delicious. We also had an excellent evening meal in the hotel restaurant. The Houses of Parliament are nearby and the Imperial War Museum is only a short walk away. There are bus stops nearby which will take you to Oxford Street etc if you don`t feel like walking.
“Excellent, comfortable hotel, professional staff and great location”
My other half and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable witha good size and excellent amenties. It was extremely useful to have free wifi and internet access in the room as it allowed us to plan our day easily. I cannot wait to go back.
“ten percent”
The one disappointment of the stay was the 10% service charge added to already high prices. Although the staff were great and the service good
