“Useful for early Gatwick flights”
Just a short walk (mostly sign posted too) from terminal so very useful for overnight stay where you have an early flight!
“Convenient to Gatwick”
It is easy to walk from the airport to the hotel. You need to take care as you cross the road to the pick up area but then there is a footpath the whole way.
“Poor value”
I was ngiven poor information about reaching the hotel on foot when I called, making people wait 25 minutes for a bus when its a 5 minute walkf from the south terminal is bizarre. Marriott Hotels continue to charge for Wifi access this is uncappetable when other branded hotels and coffee shops dont! This makes Marriots a no go for me if I can aviod them. The room was nice, value for money was fine until you pay for Wifi.
“Convenience at Gatwick”
The Marriott Courtyard is convenient, modern, clean and functional. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Overall, excellent value for money.
“quiet airport hotel”
I wanted to stay close to Gatwick without being too close to major highways or having to hear planes taking off/ landing. This was a perfect choice! 5 min walk from the treminal. Completely quiet. It was also affordable. Good quality for the price.
“Nice stopover”
Possible to walk to from the South Terminal, but the signage is not obvious everywhere (I had to ask for direction). There is also a bus that makes a loop about ever 20 minutes. Very impressed with the staff and the accommodations, more than what I was expecting from such airport hotel.
“Best Gatwick rate”
If you can walk and not scared of directions the hotel isn't hard to find. About a 10min walk from airport/train station. Close to the Hilton and much Cheaper and I'd say same quality. Rooms and hotel are very clean and modern. Not typical UK hotel at this rate. Only negative thing was the Internet. Dial up speed for 11pounds. The food was expensive as well but tasty. You can't walk to another Resturant so they got you there. But you'll save on the rate.
“Practically impossible to access”
A big frustration. It shook the image of Courtyard of mine.
“Staying at Gatwick”
The low room rate is offset by the extra charges: the internet is an extra charge, the bottled water in your room is an extra charge, even a cup of coffee in the lobby is an extra charge, and the shuttle bus is not a hotel perk, but a transit service, which also is an extra charge. Not like the other Courtyards I've stayed at. But it's convenient and, if you have to stay overnight at Gatwick, clean, well maintained and acceptable.
“Easy access to the airport”
I have now stayed here on three occasions and it is perfect for accessing both terminals. Although a shuttle bus is available, the south terminal is within comfortable walking distance and the bus can be unreliable sometimes and overcrowded. I have stayed at a number of hotels close to the airport but this one wins out for convenience/cost. I have eaten in the hotel restaurant a number of times and while the food is good the service can be a little slow. Staff generally are friendly and helpful.
