“Cheap, clean, & conveniently located”

This was the cheapest hotel I could find in London. It was a very reasonable walk to Victoria Station (though, we took a taxi before we got the lay of the land and it was 5 pounds well-spent considering the luggage). The younger gentleman on the staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was clean and en suite as promised. It was small, but the beds were larger than twin (not terribly comfortable.) There was tea service and a TV in the room, though I never turned it on. For the money, it was exactly what you need if you want to be near central London. Very satisfied. Oh- Breakfast. At 2.5gbp, it was cheap, but just continental. If you want something substantial, go out.

“Just by the River !”

The room itself was reasonably clean considering it was a budget hotel.Cosy and warm enough, there was even a table and chair with a coffee maker - extra coffe saches for FREE!!!Location was a PLUS, two minutes walk to Thames River- fantastic!

“Cheap and cheerfull”

I read some very unpleasent reviews about this place, but I say you get what you pay for. The rooms won't win any awards for luxury, but they were clean and all the staff I dealt with were great. It's a central London location, not two minutes walk from the Victoria underground line, at the prices they charge, you can't expect the Ritz.

“Fine for budget”

I had read the reviews from other travelers about this hotel so I had very low expectations. The location was great but note that it is much closer to the Plimico Tube Station than Victoria. Since I recently had knee surgery I asked if I could have a room on the ground floor which they were able to give me. The room was extremely simple but clean. Make sure to bring soap as they don't supply but I did get two towels (which other reviewers said they only got one). The people at the desk were very nice and always were exactly to the second to give us our wake up knock. Overall, it was much better than I expected. I didn't take the breakfast (per other reviews) but there are lots of places to get food nearby. For the price, convenience and location it was perfect for us.

“An Inexpensive Place to Stay”

Our room was very small and the shower did spray all over and make the floor wet. However, our window did open. We were on the first floor, the included breakfast was cereal and juice which was fine with me. I did not expect luxury I chose for price. the host was courteous. The location was good and above all it was inexpensive and quiet. I would stay there again if price were my main concern.

“Good for the cash”

Travelers be warned this hotel is not the Plaza in NY. It's a cheap getaway in a very expensive city. It's close to everything and not the worst place. Room is tiny but so is everything else in London. If you want a cheap room in a hotel that is close to everything book it. If you plan to do more than just sleep in the room you're staying in, don't book it. I read the reviews and this is what I have to say: Not glamourous and small. Clean enough and in a great location. Overall = worth what you spend.

“Quirky”

This hotel was nice for the budget traveller because of its close proximity to many of the main tourist sites and also because of the friendly staff. However, you need to be prepared to have problems with your room. Our toilet didnt flush, we couldnt use our shower (we had to use one on the next floor up, in the hallway), there were beer bottles and cigarettes on the balcony and one of the armoire drawers was missing the bottom. It was a quirky hotel, but only fun if you are willing to work with the numerous minor complications.

“Just as a rest stop”

Yes it was run down, but for the price you can't beat it. The worst thing was no phone. The host was very gracious and accomadating. We over slept and missed breakfast and he opened up the breakfast room for us so we could eat something before we left. If you are looking for luxury this is definetely not the place to go. If you are just looking for somewhere to rest you head while you enjoy London then its ok. The room was very basic. I almost wonder if the pictures are actually of a real room in there. Also, excellent location to walk around. good luck.

“Go only if you don't care about cleanliness”

I was appalled at the state of the room I was given. I had to close my eyes while in the bathroom because it was so dirty. The room itself was also quite a disaster area. I wasn't too sure about the sheets and blankets they had. It is a youth hostel. You get what you pay for. The only good point about the place, was the people who worked there. I had an early train to catch and no watch, the owner personally came up and knocked on the door to wake me up. Very nice of him.
