aspettative deluse

Posted 05-Dec-2014

Cons: Dåligt tryck i duschen.

If I could rate a 0, I would..

Pros: n/a
Cons: Staff customer service Room facilities Cleanliness of general areas - both Comfotel Grn and Euro smelt awful! Organisation
Location: Location was not as expected, pretty far out from the closest tube station There are a few restaurants, pubs and shops nearby
On arrival it seemed standard and okay, I didn't expect a lot as I had not paid a lot. The receptionist then sent us to the 'partner' hotel which is called Euro hotel, as he had no rooms in his hotel and therefore had to move us, which I thought was a bit strange as I received no email to inform me and the room I booked and paid for was at Comfotel Grn, not Euro hotel. He told us the rooms and hotel were exactly the same. On arrival at this Euro hotel, it was smelly and a mess, boxes everywhere piled up and no organisation. The receptionist gave us keys to a downstairs room. The stairs leading to it were steep and when I seen the room I was instantly not happy. A small box room, smelly, no mirror, small dark bathroom, the beds were rock hard, no space to leave clothes, no iron/iron board... everything I had not booked. I went to reception to complain where he told me he didn't have my money (the other hotel did) to refund me and he wanted me out the room so he could re-sell it. He then spoke (in a different language) on the phone then told me after to go and view another room at the Comfotel Grn. It was cold, raining and I had luggage, this was the last thing I wanted. After viewing the room along at the Comfotel Grn, we decided for one night it would do. There was no mirror, iron or iron board in the room, the beds were very uncomfortable and the staff were quite rude considering they messed us around so much. Would not recommend this hotel and will not be staying again!

Don't expect clean.

Posted 12-Oct-2014
Pros: Nothing
Cons: Everything
Location: Good location , food , transport etc.
The hotel was situated about 6 minutes walk from the tube and it was reasonably quiet. however the carpet was disgusting with stains all over. the walls had paint falling off by the beds. The toilet and shower had not been cleaned well and the place needed a major over haul. It would not be worth £20 a night in the North... but in London clearly below basic is still a premium. Over priced and not clean. I would not recommend to my friends.

Not unless its the last place in London to Stay

Location: Westfield Shopping center is a 15 minute walk away with lots of shopping available (as well as access to the underground)
Paid for 3 nights stayed for 1 Initial room was in the basement. Approx 85 degrees in the room and not what I would consider clean. We checked the mattress for bugs (and though not finding bedbugs one corner had a moth). The bathroom wasn't much better. the pictures are much more flattering than the actual experience. To their credit, we asked for another room and the put us on the second floor. In this room, there is a large amount of water staining (potentially black looking mold) in the bathroom and the paint on the windows and walls have significant peeling and cracking. Believe me, better than the initial room but not much and as such left the next day. (rather than staying the remaining two nights) Definitely not a 3 star (and not even a 2) in our minds. I have the pictures, if I can figure out how to attach to this review I will. This might be ok for you, and/or your experience may be completely different than mine,

Good for one or two nights.

The stay was fine, wasn't expecting much as it's a cheap place to stay. We stayed in a family room (2 double beds 1 single). Room was in the basement and on the back of the building so no road noise. Very basic as you would expect for the price. The walls were a bit dirty and paint coming off and could do with a paint. The beds were fine and there was a fridge and TV in the room. We couldn't get the wifi to work. The bathroom was small but did the job. The garden out the back needs a good tidy up as the view from the room is bad and this could easily be sorted. Overall it was fine for one night but I wouldn't have stayed for more than 2 nights here. Staff were friendly and although we didn't eat breakfast it looked ok.
