My stay at the Chesterfield 2012

Posted 07-Sep-2012
I enjoyed my short stay at the hotel. It probably does not have all the gizmos of larger establishments but it does have peace, efficiency and an air of quality. The single room I occupied was on the small side but planned exceptionally well. As a fellow lodger stated to me when I mentioned this what do you expect when it is owned by a woman. Whether this is the case I do not know. However I would recommend highly and also it is exceptionally convenient to central London

Our home in london

Posted 06-May-2012
This is a great value for London, personal service and beautiful rooms at a not exhorbitant price. I find the more traditional rooms much more attractive than the rooms with modern decor. Breakfast outstanding.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Breakfast was sumptuous, the room was nicely appointed and the staff was very accommodating.

An absolutely excellent hotel with very good service, a fine breakfast (though not cheap), and a good location.

Refined and personal

Posted 08-May-2009
I arranged for 3 nights for my mother and her travelling companion, wanting to choose a hotel that would provide a higher level of comfort and attention than she might have booked herself. I could not be happier with the result - she was treated with grace, humor, and treated royally by the staff. It was a very special gift and experience, and I look forward to booking there my next time over.

Charming Mayfair Hotel

Posted 06-May-2009
We stayed at the Chesterfield Mayfair for one night in May, and wish it could have been longer. It's an absolutely charming old-style boutique hotel, with wonderful, helpful staff. We didn't have a chance to try the restaurant, which looked beautiful. We'll be staying at the Chesterfield again. Plus, the price was right!

Not impressed by the service

Although I read many good things about the hotel personnel before we arrived I found out that the reception desk and concierge were not very helpful.

Old London Charm in Mayfair

Posted 23-Nov-2008 on Hotels.com
It is hard to find a traditional London style hotel that isn't run down and aged. The Mayfair Chesterfield is just the opposite! This charmer is a real gem, settled amongst $5M row houses just a block off Picadilly. While still quiet, it is very central. I recommend it without hesitation!
