“brillant location otherwise run down room”
Fantastic location. Walking distance to Oxford Circus. Plenty of resturants nearby. However the bathroom needed completely updating - plastic shower attachment fixed to bath taps. Good job I didn't want a bath. Rather over heated room. Good continental self service buffet included. Not sure if I would go back. Ideally situated for where I wanted to be but run down. It was cheaper than most deals I could fine though.
“Great location”
I was looking for a hotel neat Regents Park, for a conference I was attending. Astor Court is just a few minutes walk from the tube station. Modest and comfortable. Quiet street, but with shops and restaurants around the corner. Oxford street and the theater district are also near by. No porter services. The staff is not so kind, but if you demand it, you get what you want. Example: The room I was given was facing an inner yard, with building material all over. For sure the builders will work by my window. I came back to the receptionist and she gave me a much better room immediately.
“Good Location.”
The concierge desk was totally useless. I asked if I could have breakfast (for which I offered to pay) the morning I arrived and was refused. I requested a map of the underground which was printed out from the computer in black and white? I found a particularly good tour to Stonehenge and recommended they carry the brochures and got a shoulder shrug. I was there in winter weather and the heat was on the thin side. But it was about a 7 minute walk to Oxford Circus Tube. It was clean and the room of good size and always hot water. There was a working elevator and the street was quiet. There were a variety of nice restaurants nearby. I would return again.
“You get what you pay for”
Very cheap hotel in Central London. Great location. Just don't expect luxury - you get what you pay for.
“not bad”
great location, clean, decent price... that's mainly what I was hoping for. The other aspects regarding the indifferent staff, bad breakfast, and a cold room with ancient carpet may just be the way it is with hotels at this price level in London.
“Perfect location for shopping district”
We were in London to browse the clothing stores at Oxford st. This hotel is not at the top of its category, but is reasonably priced and clean, and, above all, is very well located for Oxford St. After a whole day on your feet browsing the mammoth stores, the last thing you need is a long walk to your hotel. Thats why we always choose Astor Court!
“Very impressed”
Made to feel at home very friendly people. Breakfast was wonderful.Situated close to theatres and shops.Had a wonderful weekend.Would certainly stay there again.
“Great value for London and located near the Underground.”
Very clean hotel. Staff is professional and provide excellent customer support. The web access in the lobby is helpful.
“Great Vacation”
Having a family of 5 we found accomadations hard to find. Astor Court was perfect. Comfort, cleanliness and great breakfast.
“A great budget hotel albeit a little tired”
This hotel could do with a bit of a makeover, just a few cosmetic jobs would make all of the difference. That said it is definitely excellent value for money, it was clean and the staff were friendly and professional. I would use Astor Court again.
