“Comfy Bed”
The room was nicely decorated, although very small. The bed was extremely comfortable and as we were only there to put our heads down before an early start the room was everything we needed it to be
“Not overly impressed”
While the Hotel was clean and tidy, there are much better options in London for that price. This Hotel is on a very busy through road and the traffic is constant. Water from the shower is terrible and the toilet sounded like it was about to explode. Overall would not stay at this Hotel again and would not recommend it.
“Poor Value”
Noisy, hot, dirty, badly run. If a poor night sleep is your goal, this is the place for you. This hotel is located on a busy street that is the loop back to the Kings Cross station. There is traffic all night, including emergency vehicles and trucks. The front desk staff were indifferent and were fast asleep in the morning, a better sleep than we had. The microscopic sized room was dirty and in poor repair, the shower was a low volume dribble, all but useless. The bare light bulbs worked well. The hotel staff didn’t mention to any of hotel guests that there was a time change over night, so many of the guests were lined up waiting for the breakfast service an hour before it opened. We have traveled extensively over the past many years, staying in 9 different hotels / B&B’s on this trip alone, we have relied on these Expedia reviews to help us decide where to stay. This hotel is below standard, even for a budget hotel. There are many other hotels in this area that would be much better value.
“Economical and reliable”
I stay there regularly. The location is convenient, the rooms always clean, and the staff polite and helpful. The only problem is breakfast: don't count on it, especially on Saturday, unless you get up early, as the dining room is too small for the numbers using it.
“Clean, basic, good for the price.”
For what one pays this place is fine. I stayed there three nights. The rooms are tiny,as is the en-suite shower/bathroom, but very clean. Breakfast is the usual cereal, toast, ham, cheese buffet and is included. Excellent location near noisy Kings Cross area, but on a not busy street on the safer, quieter side of that area. I suspect one couldn't do better for the price.
“Not impressed”
This place is really only a good hotel if you need a room for one night next to the King's Cross/St. Pancras Train Station(s). The rooms are small and without air conditioning. They are also very worn with fairly uncomfortable beds. It looks and smells like a college dorm room but maybe smaller. This may only be a place that you would go with a couple of guys.....I took my wife and was not necessarily proud that we were staying here! The breakfast is included but not very good--ham, cheese, cereal, toast, powder milk, tea, and coffee. The staff was somewhat friendly but not overly helpful. The good: Fairly inexpensive, 5 minute walk from train station, near pubs/restaurants The bad: Smells, Worn down, small, no A/C (not that bad), bad breakfast, not entirely knowledgeable staff, away from a lot of tourist attractions (but next to tube station)
“Good for a sleeping and showers”
This hotel was alright. Our room wasn't clean until about an hour and a half after the regular check in time, so we had to wait in the lobby, dying to take a shower. In that time most of the other guests showing up were treated poorly. Not quite rudely though. It just seemed like the person working the desk had a lot to do with not enough time to do it. I have a feeling that most of the staff is not like that, as the lady we checked out with was very nice. The room wasn't extremely clean but wasn't filthy either. Internet was 5 pounds a day, which is reasonable compared to other places. There was hot water and a spacious bathroom.
“Cheap-looking, ok hotel”
Worn rooms, nothing special, but if you need a reasonably priced hotel close to the Eurostar station, this one is ok.
“Rooms are so tiny”
This hotel is small, cramped, and smells bad. We had to crawl over the bed to reach the other side of the room. However, it's less than a 10-minute walk from St. Pancras Int'l train station, if it is your intent to travel, then its the cheapest around. The neighborhood was "okay." I would NOT recommend and long-term stay here. Cleanliness was not a huge issue. Definately a hotel for the "budget" traveler.
“Good for the price”
It was good for the price. Walls are thin so it can be noisy at times.
