“Great location, but tiny rooms.”
This hotel met all my requirements - close to stations, and the British Museum and Library. Service was good, but the rooms really are tiny.
“Great location - not good value for money”
Clean hotel, receptive and helpful staff. The ability to make changes - most hotels are up to 4:00 pm on the day - this one requires 24 hours in advance. The rooms are clean but very small. I litterally could not pull the desk chair out far enough to use it because of the proximity of the bed. The location is great but you might get a better value at another hotel.
“Rooms way too small, especially compared to other hotel we had stayed at in Bloomsbury 10 days befor”
The rooms were very tight and provided a miniscule amount of space for clothing and luggage. Staff was accommodating when we complained and moved us to a king room, which meant we had 2 tiny shelves, each with a book size drawer next to the bed where we squeezed underwear. I used the safe for storing a few t-shirts and laundry. The so-called closet had 4 hangers and was maybe 8 inches deep. Maybe works for an overnight traveler traveling alone but not for 2 adults who were on the road for more than 2 weeks. Needless to say, we lived out of our suitcases in this cramped room for 4 days. Guests should be advised that the shower floor is the bathroom floor, not a bad space-saver but the whole floor does get wet and post-shower, there was always a slight unpleasant odor. We dutifully hung our towels so they did not need to be replaced each day but staff replaced them anyway. So much for saving water. Not worth the money in our minds.
“Decent location with decent $”
Staffs were kind and helpful, the room was comfy and neat. With an affordable price, it was a decent hotel in a good location.
“Great Location, Lovely clean room and amazing food!!”
The hotel was more pricey than others I looked at but the location was perfect for me. The room was very clean, modern and peaceful. We ate in the resturant and found that the food was amazing and the resturant staff were great.
“I´ll stay there Again”
The hotel team was very atencious whith informations about London etc.. The Hotel was very clean. The location for us was very good, because we leave London by Eurostar and St. Pancras Station is a 5 minutes walk. The buses and Metro near hotel take us to all city. I will stay there again !
“OR”
This hotel was a bit expensive, but I expected that for a London Visit. Since it was my first trip to London, I decided to spend the money. The room felt too small at first, but I soon got used to it. The location was terrific. The closest tube stop is only half a block away!!! (King's Cross/St. Pancras) Since I landed after midnight at Heathrow Airport, I missed most of the main transportation options, so I had to take a bus. One bus tranfer later I was dropped off directly in front of the King's Cross/St. Pancras station. The hotel is in a safe and lively neighborhood. I found it a nice walk away from many cafe's, restaurants, parks and a 20 min walk from the British Museum. On the down side, my room windows faced directly into appartments across an alley so it lacked a bit of privacy. The bathroom did not have windows so the tile didn't dry completely between showers. The decorative cases on the bed spread and pillows were a bit stained.
“Room too smmall for a human.”
I madde the mistake of booking a singgle room. It was too small by my standards and, I believe, all western stanndards.
“Very nice hotel, close to Kings Cross and Euston Stations”
I was very happy with this hotel. Everything was very clean and bright and appeared to be newly refurbished. Service at reception was excellent. Breakfast buffet included in the rate we paid was a first class buffet. For a London hotel room the room size was reasonable and the bed big enough. Only very minor complaint is that the closet was tiny, but not a big problem for us as we only stayed two nights.
“Extremely clean rooms; Great location”
My brother and I stayed in a twin bed room. Though a bit small compared to rooms in the U.S. the room was very clean (a must as those of us who travel frequently and internationally know). The staff was very nice and accommodating. The hotel location (Bloomsbury) was central. Pancras International was a short walk away making my day trip to Paris via the Eurostar convenient.
