“Worst hotel I have ever stayed in, EVER!”

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Words do not do it justice. I'l keep it to the main points: -It is apsolutly filthy, from the mound of pubic hair in the shower, to the layers of dust and decay present all around. The extra blankets provided for our beds may well have come from a 3rd world hospital. -It is a building site. Not just a little work going on here and there, but a proper building site. We had to walk over the builders sheets on the floors to get to our room. The sound of drills and machinery was present most of the day. -Safety: Or lack of it. There was a power cable with an extension plug going across our room, running past the sink, just ready to be splashed by the tap. The springs in the bed were broken. The wardrobe was a gust of wind away from collapse. -Service: Reception doubles up as a dining room and kitchen. Staff lack basic English and communication skills. They appeared not to have any concept their hotel might be lacking. -Lack of services: This hotel lacks even the most basic ammenities. The tv in the room had no channels working. The iron and ironing board provided were unsafe and totally inadequate. The place was freezing at all times and the shower in our room was actually inside the room staring at us like a phonebox from the corner. I am sure I have missed alot more out. Anyone that has ever wondered what the guesthouses in Orwell's "Down and Out in Paris and London" might have been like can find out at The Acropolis...

“Very poor 2* hotel - not impressed at all.”

> Very noisy from all-night traffic which didn't abate, but need window open. > Could hear an alarm panel all night - probably on a test setting !! > Pathetic old TV with apalling reception from loose set aerial > Room was gloomy and not very welcoming, furmnished with old cheap furniture. > Awoken in morning by workmen in next room, and found the hotel is a building site during the day - with guests still in residence!! Given no warning about this. This shouldn't be allowed. > No control over heating - was on when didn't need it. > Bed alone was clean & comfortable, which was more than could be said for the rest of the room.

“Basic accommodation is fine”

The room had a bed, a shower and a sink. There was little room to move around but it was OK. The toilets were shared in the hallways and I had to climb 3 flights of stairs to get to one which wasn't great. Also the hotels.com site said this place had continental breakfast when it did not. But the staff were very courteous and helpful and for a basic place to sleep it was fine.

“not impressed”

It was ok. good neighbourhood, good transportation. Beds were comfortable. There were no bathroom in the room - just something like a shower cabin. Toilet - outside the room. It was quite clean and staff were really friendly and helpful. If you don't mind the bathroom - it is ok for a few days of sightseeing.

“Als Schlafstätte völlig ausreichend”

Wenn man ein günstiges Hotel hauptsächlich sucht um eine Unterkunft für die Nacht zu haben ist das Hotel ausreichend. Die Zimmer und die Einrichtung sind verwohnt und leicht marode, aber ausreichend sauber. Toiletten befinden sich auf den Fluren, auf den Zimmern gibt es eine (ziemlich verkalkte) Duschkabine. Das Frühstück beschränkt sich auf Toast, Spiegel- oder Rührei (ohne Schinken) und Marmelade. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und unkompliziert. Empfang, Büro, Küche und Speiseraum sind in einem Raum mit Wohnzimmercharakter vereint. In der Nähe liegt die U-Bahnstation Hammersmith, die zu Fuß schnell erreicht werden kann. In der unmittelbaren Nachbarschaft gibt es jede Menge Restaurants, Cafes und kleine Läden.

Ciao a tutti, più che hotel lo si può definire un b&b.. poco pulito...colazione imbarazzante e povera. due le note positive,il figlio del proprietario molto disponibile nel fornirci indicazioni e consigli e la zona davvero multietnica e particolare e vicinissima a notting hill!

“Plus jamais!!!”

A déconseiller : Même le formule 1 en France, c'est plus la classe !! Cabine de douche intégrée dans la chambre, l'état est mauvais et propreté pas terrible... Chambre mal insonorisé, bruit du chauffe-eau de la cabine de douche, bruit des voisins etc... Toilette sur le pallier et inaccessible....(trop petit pour s'assoir..) Lavabo dans la chambre bouché Éviter d'ouvrir la fenêtre...les pigeons rentrent et laissent des traces, qui ne sont même pas nettoyer par le personnel. Concernant le pti dej...ce n'est pas exactement un buffet, avoir un choix limité..servi jusqu'à 9h. Très déçu de cet hôtel...
