“I like the location”

If you are travelling by car it is not the most easiest to get to. The hotel management need to make sure the guests are secure in their rooms.

“Great location, charming, but in need of renovation.”

The Grand hotel was grand in reception, ballroom restaurant and bar, but once in the corridoors and stairwells it was obvious it hadn't been renovated for a long time. It was charming but also tired looking. Rooms were OK and spacious with decent bathrooms. Location was also great, right on Piotrakowska Street in the main hub of activity where most of the restaurants and bars were. The hotel fitted in with this famous street in that it was charming but looked like it hadn't been painted since the 1940s.

Area recommendations
Piotrakowska Street beside the Grand Hotel is the place to be in Lodz.
Nightlife
Czeckolada is the nightclub of choice.

“Old hotel with good location”

This hotel looks old, but still provides a comfortable stay for me. With its good location in city center, there are many shops nearby, I spent lots of time there. The breakfast is also good, full of variety.

“Would NEVER stay there and would NOT recommend it to anyone”

Expedia should remove this hotel from its list immediately. I relied on Expedia's selection during previous trips. Big dissapointment here! The worst hotel ever! I requested quiet, clean room. Hotel needs major renovations, rooms (315, 505) facing noisy street were in bad shape, dirty furniture (sofa), beds not changed during 3 day stay. Breakfast quality/selection poor,dirty table cloth, didn't finish first meal and never went back. Noisy street, drunks yelling constantly till 3am, then store alarm went off for 2 hrs non-stop. The entire stay was a nightmare. The cleaning staff did a decent job given the situation. The staff at the front desk was helpful and pleasant.

Area recommendations
Choose different hotel e.g. Qubus, Ibis. Avoid Hotel Grand.

“Traditionsreiches Haus in zentraler Lage”

Habe eine Nacht in dem Hotel verbracht und war sehr zufrieden. Zimmer sauber und Frühstück ordentlich. Lage ideal im Zentrum an der Haupteinkaufsstraße.
