Lovely hotel and staff, can't fault the meals, great location and plenty to do, kids club and entertainment in the evening. Having a pool at the hotel is great as our daughter loves swimming. Will be back again soon
If I could rate the room comfort 20/10 I would! Shnuggliest bed I've ever slept in. All the staff were warm and welcoming and the bar and food was lovely. Surrounding area was beautiful too and a very short drive to the nearest ski resort; Aviemore.
We had a wonderful break in Carrbridge. Gordon,Trixie and The dog Archie are great hosts. We enjoyed the peaceful and relaxing Scottish atmosphere, yummy breakfasts and excellent dinners. Highly recommended accomodation!

Visited in a cold & snowy December. This little gem of a hotel in tucked away in Kingussie but sign posted from the High Street so it's not too difficult to find. The room was large & uncluttered with a modest en-suite. The bed was very comfy. The restaurant was large & the food excellent. They keep a good range of local beers as well as a good stock of whisky on display.
I've stayed in a lot of hotels over the years so I can be a little hard to please at times. It's often the small things that make the biggest impression.
For me there are 2 things to note about this hotel.
Firstly, the staff were not just courteous & friendly but positively cheery. This is something I have rarely seen. Other places have been friendly but to be cheery is unusual in my experience. (Well done!)
Secondly, & this may seem small & silly but they put a string of little lights that stretched from the hotel door, down the steps to the entrance road all the way to the boundary of the property. If you want to walk from the hotel into Kingussie at night, this is a very useful touch. For me this shows that the hotel has been considerate of its guests. This may not seem like much to anyone who hasn't been to the place, but I think this shows consideration.
So the $64000 question. Would I go back?
This was a personal visit not a business trip (so I'm even harder to please when my money is being used) but the answer is an emphatic 'yes'.
It was a lovely experience
