Good hotel but a little tired.

Posted 20-Jun-2012 on Hotels.com
This hotel is good if you want to get away from it all and you're happy not to be near the beach or town. It is located in what can only be described as a housing estate, but there is a free shuttle bus which will take you to the beach club and the regular public buses to Palma and S'Arenal stop outside the hotel. All inclusive was good value, plenty of choice each day at the buffet meals, particularly good if you like fish! Staff in the resturant and bars were generally helpful and polite but there are one or two who are frankly quite rude! Our room was on the 5th floor and had a view of the sea, pool and mountains. I would recommend requesting a room on a higher floor as the noise from the "entertainment" could be loud, but it never continued beyond midnight. The room was a reasonable size, clean but a little tired. The hotel claims to have air conditioning, which is true to an extent. Air conditioning is controlled centrally and we were informed that it is only on between 4pm and 10pm. It was, but it didn't really cool, rather it acted as a very weak fan. This meant that the room was too hot at night and noise from a nearby busy road meant we were disturbed if we left the balconly door open for ventilation. We used the gym just once, it was in a window / airless room and the equipment has seen better days. I would return to this hotel simply for its good value, but because of the air conditioning I wouldn't recommend it in the hottest weeks of summer.

A really relaxing place to stay

Posted 18-Jun-2012
Pros: Location. Quiet. Great sun trap. Friendly staff.
This was a last minute booking...but what a find! We took the All Inclusive package. Despite being only 15 minutes from the Airport the Hotel is in a quiet area, but provides free shuttle buses if you do feel the need to hit the town. (We didn't). The staff were friendly & helpful. No shortage of sunbathing or sitting space. Hotel Food was to a high standard. A broad mix of clientelle, not too many children when we stayed, but it was outside the school holiday period. We took the free shuttle to the nearby beach club (entry discounted to hotel guests), beautifully appointed with loungers and divans, a relaxing place to sunbathe, swim in the pool or the sea and with a good menu. Only there for 5 nights but came home thoroughly relaxed. I'm sure we'll be back!

Hotel Delta - End of April 2012

Posted 07-May-2012
Pros: Very quiet
Cons: Wireless internet available throughout the whole building (and free is possible)
Location: quiet location, restuarants 5 minuites walk away, 10 euro cab ride to a busier town with sandy beaches
A Hotel if you want a quiet experience, it does seem to cater more towards the German market, however during our stay we found we where not the only english couple staying. The closest "busy" town is S'Arenal which is along a sandy beach front and the cab fare is around 10 euro's, in which S'Arenal also appears to catar towards the Germans too, it's also worth considering hiring a bike for the day as it is around 6km away. We did not stay full board so I cannot comment on Dinner within the hotel, however there is a shopping area about 5 minuites walk from teh hotel, which has a variety of restaurnaunts (about 5 if i can remember including a italian and chinese restuarant), I recommend a restaurant called "pizzeria" which I thought their grilled meat was so good we went their twice in 1 weekend (i had a grilled pork iberian dish and a grilled sirlion steak on our 2nd visit)! The hotel also has a cycling activites which i would have been keen on if i was aware, and we made use of the sauna and gym, the hotel has tennis courts too, although we did not use them. A further note, it maybe worth going fullboard even if you do not intend to have dinner within the hotel as drinks will be siginificantly cheaper, a cocktail for example is roughly 6 euros, where as for full board residents we where advised it would have been around 1 euro (price depends on the drink i guess.) We travelled by coach transfer from the airport to and from the hotel, which seemed suitable enough.

Good find

Posted 02-May-2012
Pros: Balcony in the room in a beautiful location.
Cons: Wifi is a bit pricy, and the connection is slow. However, that was a recurring problem we found throughout Spain not limited to this hotel.
Very reasonably priced in a beautiful location. The hotel offers a shuttle to the beach every day as well. Would recommend.

Sleepy Hollow .... but a nice sleepy hollow.

Posted 10-Apr-2012
Pros: Tennis and sports facilities. Very good food for the price. Peaceful setting. Staff were friendly and fun. Very easy transfer from airport.
Cons: A bit disorganised at times. Even on "All inclusive" they charge for things you'd expect to be included.. Eg tennis court, WiFi, the beach club.
Location: Peaceful setting and only15min taxi from Palma. If you want to party its not for you. you. There is no sandy beach. Access to the sea is from rocks
Excellent hotel for a quiet break in Mallorca. The Hotel itself is quite large but it is the only hotel in the area. The area was presumably all pine forests when the hotel was built but now much of this land has been used for development. Mainly upmarket Villas and townhouses. Some of the Villas along the cliff edge are pretty spectacular. The hotel has lovely grounds. Still its own bit of the pine forest! 3 pools, crazy golf. Fantastic for tennis if that is your thing. 6 clay courts, coaching available. very popular with cyclists. The food was very good. All inclusive option was good value when purchased in advance. If you like your food/drink I would definately recommend taking this option as the prices "over the counter" are pretty high for both food and drink. Main restaurant is buffet style but the quality was good. Plenty of variety and always some good local dishes on offer.

No frills, but decent and comfortable

Posted 20-Jul-2009
First impressions were it was OK and servicable, but no WOW factor. But it grew on us. Only stayed for a short break, would go back for longer. Pool areas are lovely, quiet and relaxing. Private club with pool by sea gets packed, so get there early! Food buffet, again OK with lots of choice, a bit canteen like - again sort of grew on us after couple of days. Nothing around hotel other than few shops, one or two places to eat - so you're based at hotel or taxi ride to town. Aqua Land park for kids very close though!

What a great find!

Posted 15-May-2009
We recently spent 4 nights at this hotel. The location was great (walking distance to restaurants), the room was very clean and comfortable, the grounds were lovely, the pools were beautiful (especially the sea side pool), and the breakfast buffet was outstanding. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great location - smart hotel.

Posted 24-Apr-2009
The Hotel is fully self sufficient - several pools - indoor and out. Tennis courts, mini golf, a modest fitness room. The sauna was out of action during our stay. We only had breakfast in our package, but the food was plentiful, both continental and English breakfast components. Fresh. There is only a small shopping centre within walking distance with 2 or 3 nice but modest restaurants - invariably Italian. Very hard to find typical Spanish fare. Baech club was lovely - a 10 minute bus ride away, and shuttle buses come every 30 minutes to ferry guests to the unspoiled and wonderful beach club location wheret there is a great pool and smart restaurant. No beach, just steps down to the rocks straight into the sea. There is a bus stop which takes you to Palma for Eur2,50 and toL'Arenal for Eur1.25 per person. Much cheaper than the taxis, although one is always on hand. Very good experience.

Everything fine - Car is essential as the hotel is slightly off the beaten track.
