“This is going to be a favorite.”
I traveled to Lloydminister for a conference and thought I had booked into the West Harvest Inn host hotel for the conference only to find out that I was instead booked at the Harvest West Express. The desk clerk phoned the Express hotel and confirmed that I was indeed registered there and then gave me driving directions. She told me it was at the edge of town and I was quite apprehensive as to what I might find. To my delight the hotel was excellent and the reception I received upon checking in was exceptional. The woman at the check in was incredibly welcoming and friendly. Although my spacious room was next to the elevator it was quiet, tidy, and had all the necessary amenities as well as a microwave and small fridge. The bed was comfortable and the room was well laid out. Connected by an enclosed walkway to a multi sport facility this hotel is going to be a popular one. Coming from a hockey family I know that this hotel's little touches would be welcome come hockey season. The hotel has a team storage room to air out equipment overnight....imagine no foul smelling equipment to trip over in your hotel room overnight! The continental breakfast was good. I like fresh fruit and they had bananas, and a small plate of cut up grapefruit and pineapple. There is a Tim Hortons across the parking lot and a Subway (not yet open about a block away).
“Good stay”
Although this hotel is on the far south end of Lloyd, it's not like it's a big town, so it was very easy and fast to get to. The check in took a little long, but wasn't the fault of the staff (very confused guests were ahead of me). Hotel itself is in fantastic condition; very clean and new. There is a TIm Hortons next door, so it is easy to get a quick bite to eat if you don't want to drive anywhere. The included breakfast in the morning was pretty standard. The staff were doing a good job of making sure everything was being kept clean and well stocked. If I need to stay in Lloyd again, this is definitely the hotel I will go to.
“"Pleasantly Pleased"”
We were in town for a Wedding. We found the hotel on Expedia.ca and they had a very good rate in comparison to other hotels in the area. We were booked into a King, One Bedroom Suite. It was a beautiful room, but unfortunately, we did not get to enjoy it for long. We checked in just prior to the wedding, and returned to the room in the wee hours of the morning. We missed the complimentary breakfast, trying to squeeze out as much sleep as we could. The hotel location was quite far from the hall venue, however, Lloydminster is not a very big town, so the cab ride was very inexpensive. The staff was very friendly, and check-in and check-out very simple and quick. This hotel would be terrific for a family, as there was a huge Leisure Center attached to the hotel. It was quiet and had lots of parking.
“Clean, quiet”
This hotel looks like the newest in town. It is clean, was fairly quiet, and I liked the breakfast room.
