Listed building and beautifully maintained. Only one downside was it was too hot in the room but they do have a lot of elderly residents so that’s fair enough. Lovely place and their wedding venue room is gorgeous.

I stayed here with my pregnant partner over the Easter weekend. Absolutely terrible i paid for a king size deluxe room with a bath and when i got there it was just a double bed and no bath with a broken shower. There was a extraction unit outside my window which was terribly loud in the room. After all this i didn't complain about the above to management as my partner was already in bed. Then i get home and found thay had charged me £100 because thay claim to of found drugs in the bathroom which is absolutely disgusting allegations from a 4* hotel.!!!!!! And thay cant send evidence over with the invoices When i asked for a full breakdown of all charges on an invoice the man on the phone (Nathan) was very rude ending the call and thay have refused to send invoice. I will be taking legal actions against these scamming rats if i dont get a full refund.!!!!!!

We booked to stay at bold hotel however my wife couldn't manage stairs up to rooms, so the lady quickly transfered us to there other hotel opposite lord st hotel which has a lift to first floor where we was given a lovely room staff went above & beyond for us excellent service.

Great hotel shame about the parking
We thought the hotel was really nice, clean, well presented and really nicely decorated. The reception guy was super helpful and advised the intracises of pay2park. To be fair this was the only real negative in the whole experience as having to pay every day and even though the cost was reduced a further £8.20 per day when the hotel was already and understandably costly . Also having to walk from behind the Grand in the pouring rain was a bit of a bind.

A very warm welcome
Convenient hotel great staff and good rooms . The shower water pressure was a bit slow but apart from that my stay was great with everyone giving a very warm welcome.

Disappointing
At first glance everything appeared to be quite nice. The welcome and helpfulness at Check in was generally very good. The rooms weren't so great. Nice size, and the bed was ok, but on close inspection it was all a bit grotty. The blinds over the window were filthy, a sure sign that cleaning wasn't great throughout. The TV did not work You could hear the words, but no picture. The pressure in the shower was awful. There was loud music blaring through the floor from the bar downstairs until 1am. I was literally only at the hotel to sleep. Arrived to my room around 11pm and left at 8pm. Did not feel any of the stay warranted what i paid for the rooms I had booked. Disappointing.

If your planning on a peaceful nights sleep then s
First impressions, really lovely hotel with polite and friendly staff. Actually trying to sleep at this hotel was hit and miss. We must have been located above the bar/ restaurant toilets because all we could hear was the hand dryers until the early hours and just as we had settled into a good sleep we were awoken at 7.15am by someone in an adjoining room playing music at an unacceptable level. We got up to complain to the front desk and was basically told there was nothing they could do
