“Just Say No”
If something seems too good to be true, it usually is. This place was no exception. I was excited to find a "four star" place in the heart of L'pool for a great price. We were meeting friends there and thought an apartment would be ideal. We were in for a rude awakening! I was embarassed to have been the one to have booked this part of our stay in the UK. The apartments are actually across the street from the registration desk; and while very nice, the staff had no idea of how to run the washer, turn on the water heater or help us in any meaningful way. They said they would contact maintenance, but we never heard back from them. The hallways of the building reminded me of a prison - or a college dorm; The place is loud and echo-y. The neighborhood was fairly seedy, but there was gated garage parking, which was a relief. The bathroom was clean, but the carpeted floors in the rest of the place were FILTHY. We were supposed to have 2 double beds but somehow ended up with a set of twins and one double, despite the fact the place was mostly empty. The combination washer/dryer did not work (correction: worked well enough to wet, but not clean my clothes.) I had to drive miles to find a laundromat. I would NOT RECOMMEND these apartments to anyone.
“Nice apartments, great value.”
We stayed in a nice one-bedroom apt for 4 nights. The place was good and the location great. The only complaint is that there were some other (loud) guests coming back late at night who would make a lot of noise (there are several night clubs close by to the hotel). Overall I would happily go back if I visit Liverpool again.
“Not really a serviced apartment”
Sweet small apartment with all the necessary things. I thought it would be slightly more luxurious than what it was. Also I thought that it would be more like a hotel in that someone would change sheets and towels etc everyday - but no one cleaned during my 5 night stay. The actual building is quite basic. On the 1st night the woman at reception was not helpful. There should have been clearer instructions on parking and directions to my apartment on the email.
“Caveat Traveller”
Unacceptable.
“Excellent location for Liverpool city centre”
Although we had booked the Spectrum Apartments, the reception is actually located at The Lever Court Apartments just over the road. We ended up staying in The Lever Court Apartments but this probably worked to our advantage as there is a 24 hour manned reception there. In total there were three of us, so a 1 bedroom apartment with two single beds and a sofa bed was booked. However, on arrival our 1 bedroom apartment contained a double bed and a sofa bed - not ideal for 3 friends enjoying a weekend visit to Liverpool! To the credit of the reception staff this was soon corrected and we were given a 2 bedroom apartment at no added cost. The apartments are centrally located with a modern kitchen and bathroom and offers more room than a traditional hotel room and no extra cost. Overall we were very pleased with the accomodation and would recommend this as a good alternative to a hotel room.
“Nice apartment, good location but noisy”
I stayed in a one-bedroom apartment on a Friday. The apartment has a fully equipped kitchen (even dish washer!), nice couch with big flat screen TV, good shower over bath and very comfy bed. Overall the apartment is very clean, modern and well maintained. Location-wise it's perfect; only 5 minutes walk to Liverpool One and Albert Dock. The only problem was that the walls aren't very sound-proof. My apartment was on the third floor and I could hear people coming through the entrance on ground floor, especially on a Friday night when people came back drunk and talked very loudly. Nice place to stay but I would avoid weekends.
“Dirty and noisy”
Originally we booked at the SPECTRUM apartments and they were awfully dirty, the TV was not working at all, extremely noisy, so we had to sleep on top of the beds and wearing our clothing, we could not sleep until 4 am when the young people below our apt. stop partyng in sunday! We complained with the manager and they moved us to a newer place on the same street wich was very good, very modern, comfortable and very well conected to the cathedral and shoping center and Albert Dock it has everything we could need and the only disadvantage was that it was quit warm but absolutely will recomend it and I'm planning to go back next year.
“I was ignored!!”
Everything was good except in one of the bedrooms (the master) the bulb needed to be changed. When I told them they told me they would change the bulb the day after, while I would be out. However, when I returned at night I noticed nobody had come to take care of that. We were only there for two nights and we were disappointed to see we were ignored
“Cleaning”
The room wasn't cleaned at all. The only thing done by the cleaners, was the dishwasher. The appartment itself was really nice, the location was perfect and the beds where good.
“Spectrum Apartments hotel bien situé”
Globalement satisfait sauf sur le chauffage. Pas de chauffage en sdb . Le chauffage de la pièce principale est tombé en panne, nous l'avons signalé immédiatement mais il n'a pas été réparé (séjour du 20 au 24 décembre)
