“Good venue”
I went to this hotel as part of a large family reunion from across the world. We had a superb conference room for the day with a buffet and bar.The hotel staff were very friendly as were the restaurant and bar staff. Hotel had leisure facilities which looked good but we didnt have time to use them. Would go to this hotel again.

“Village Hotel review”
Hotel was easy to find. A bit of a walk from car park to reception. Good restaurant and pub bar in the hotel, and several amenities (gym, pool, spa, sauna) I didn't have time to use. Wifi connection was free and easy to use, but a bit slow, unsuitable for a Skype video call. Room was comfortable, with all the usual 4 Star features. One of the nights I stayed was a bit noisy, with loud conversation in the corridor and doors banging very late into the evening. Overall, I'd use Village hotels again, on the basis of this stay. I didn't rebook this hotel, as it was further away from where I was working than I wanted.
“Really needs a lick of paint and a plumber”
The service and location was great and perfect for my needs. The room was ok, had better in Premier Inns. Very basic extras, tea, coffee, kettle, ironing board and iron and 4 towels. Premier Inn gives face cloths, soaps, shower gel etc and shoe shine and laundry service. This was not present here. TV was basic 5 channels and 5 sky and kept switching itself off? Room temp was stuck on 55 degrees so had to open window but had generator outside room so very noisy at all times or very hot. Decor was bad especially in bathroom, really needs looking at. 2' gap at bottom of door and looked like it had been sitting in 4" of water for some time too. Grouting and silicon was in very bad disrepair and sink unit was put together by a 5 year old I think, very badly done. If this has any Michelin stars, 1 needs to be removed NOW. Food was great although free evening meal was governed to only one of the 3 restaurants available, and service was first class. Breakfast was standard but quality of hot food was not, cheap sausages, very salty cheap bacon and very undercooked tiny eggs, do they have a lot of quails in the Wirral? Overall review, is an average one but would not recommend as a first or second choice, due to decor and price. Did not use pool or gym but they did look clean and inviting.
“Wirral Leisure Hotel”
Stayed for 7 nights for family visit. Location good. OK for 1 or 2 nights visit. Not possible to adjust temperature in room - radiator was either on or off. No safe in room, Kleenex, facecloths not provided. Stained carpets. Hotel generally shows wear and tear and needs decorating/upgrading. Worst fish and chip meal ever at Victory Pub.
“you would be comfortable at the YMCA”
Having been a member of Village Leisure for 12 years I have stayed at this hotel before and enjoyed it This time we paid to book in early, this meant our rooms were cleaned early, we had the smallest rooms in the hotel, being the easiest to prepare. We could get no food as one cafe had closed and the victory lounge was not open for food. We did manage to get some toast and tea (£5.20 for 4 rounds of toast). Breakfast in the morning we had to book in and wait for a table (people where actualy sitting at the bar having breakfast) the qaulity of the breakfast was very poor. THE STAFF WHERE VERY GOOD AND COULD NOT BE FAULTED Sad to see a good hotel in poor repair
