Pros: It was very clean and you did feel safe
Room 35 was supposed to be a Double Room but very small and the bed was pushed up against a wall with a radiator on the wall. Bed was very soft. Not good if you have mobility problems as the hall ways are very narrow. Very clean and could not fault the staff,

A good reason to stay out

Posted 16-Jun-2015
Cons: Better design/plan for rooms and be more realistic about what is required for a genuine double room.
Disappointing room tucked away on the top floor. Hardly room to swing a cat, so with two people you had to negotiate getting around the room the whole time. The only temperature control on a warm night was a small window. Shower only, with no towel rail so nowhere to hang damp towels. Shower was not easy to get the temperature right - was either scalding hot or freezing cold. TV behind the bathroom door. Clean towels were in a rack over the toilet - surely an accident waiting to happen !

Decent hotel close to the university

Posted 08-Jun-2015
Pros: The hotel's location is excellent and my room was well-equipped, despite being small.
Cons: Breakfast lacked variety, while disabled access seemed difficult. I wouldn't want to pay the rates on their website for what I had.
Location: The location is very close to the university buildings and the Metropolitan Cathedral, with a variety of restaurants and bars on Hope Street opposite.
My experience was of a perfectly acceptable hotel within easy distance of the university. The hotel consists of a number of joined-up houses, leading to a complete maze of an interior and widely varying rooms, though the whole was very well-appointed and clean.

Nice hotel

Posted 19-May-2015
Pros: Staff were very helpful and pleasant
Cons: update corridors leading to rooms to bring it up to date with the rest of the hotel
Location: Weather was bad so didn't really explore
Disappointed there was no lift as my husband was on crutches and we were two flights up. Should have checked this myself but took it for granted.Room was very small, toilet was difficult to flush, but as we got a deal and were there for business not pleasure I can't really complain. I am sure if We had payed full price we would have been given a better room. .

dinner problem

Posted 14-May-2015
Pros: Nice room apart from no view, good location, parking and breakfast.
Cons: Need to inform staff of dinner arrangements
Location: All great for the city
Had a lovely upgraded room and the staff were all very friendly. We did have a problem with being told we did not have to book for dinner and then told when we went to restaurant that they could not accommodate us and would be at least a 45 minute wait, so we went into the city for dinner. Their loss ! and quite frankly not at all good.

Not Bad

Posted 13-May-2015
Pros: Location
Cons: A bit worn round the edges, could do with updating
Room was clean and Hotel is about a 10 minute work from the main part of town. Website states 2pm check in, but this is wrong its 3pm. Only problem we had with the room was noisy guests in the corridors thoughout the night.

Le pire de l'hôtellerie

Posted 20-Apr-2015
