Hotel close to all ameneties

Pros: Staff were wonderfull and the breakfast was the best ever
Cons: Secondary lighting in the room and more hot water in the morning
Location: Good location near all amenities if car park full another car park very near at £4 per day
Liverpool is a great place to visit plenty to see and do with very friendly people

Nice hotel

Pros: Staff were very helpful and pleasant
Cons: update corridors leading to rooms to bring it up to date with the rest of the hotel
Location: Weather was bad so didn't really explore
Disappointed there was no lift as my husband was on crutches and we were two flights up. Should have checked this myself but took it for granted.Room was very small, toilet was difficult to flush, but as we got a deal and were there for business not pleasure I can't really complain. I am sure if We had payed full price we would have been given a better room. .

dinner problem

Pros: Nice room apart from no view, good location,parking and breakfast.
Cons: Need to inform staff of dinner arrangements
Location: All great for the city
Had a lovely upgraded room and the staff were all very friendly. We did have a problem with being told we did not have to book for dinner and then told when we went to restaurant that they could not accommodate us and would be at least a 45 minute wait, so we went into the city for dinner. Their loss ! and quite frankly not at all good.

Pros: Location
Cons: A bit worn round the edges, could do with updating
Room was clean and Hotel is about a 10 minute work from the main part of town. Website states 2pm check in, but this is wrong its 3pm. Only problem we had with the room was noisy guests in the corridors thoughout the night.

Le pire de l'hôtellerie

La moitié des chambres a des fenêtres translucides (=pas transparente), pas de chauffage à l'arrivée (ouvrez le radiateur vous-même !), les ressorts du matelas sont presque visibles. C'est plus personnel, mais la déco est vraiment terrible. Et l'odeur humide des produits d'entretiens prend à la gorge.

Good sized room but some negatives

We stayed for 1 night. The room was of good size, plenty of space for bags etc. Bathroom spacious too, plenty of fresh towels. Coffee/tea provided in the room. Decor pleasant but the lights were not great, very dim. We left the car at their parking lot at extra cost and were asked to leave the car key with them in case of a fire. We found next morning that the car had been moved to a different spot which was upsetting as we did not give them permission to enter the car (no sign of a fire). The female reception staff at check in were friendly, polite and knowledgeable but at checking out the male receptionist very apparently lacked training; he wasn't able to track our pre payment nor find the car key in the cabinet.

Great Location and Value

Pros: Location and value for money. Also bar area very comfortable.
Cons: The room was small so nothing much they can do about that. A bigger sink in the bathroom would have been good as I could barely fit both my hands in.
Hotel perfect if travelling by train being 10 mins slow walk from Liverpool Lime Street and about 15 to the main city centre. Also 5 mins from Liverpool University as we were going there for an open day event.

Pros: Close to City centre. Clean and tidy. Staff are very friendly.
Cons: Wifi was either down or the connection was awful. Didn't try the free wired connection as there was always someone waiting.
Location: Mathew street and several great bars and restaurants are within easy reach.
Decent hotel, clean tidy and friendly staff. Only gripe was the room was below ground and very, very dark (even with the lights on). Internet connection very limited (wifi).

Ok Hotel for One Night

Pros: Cleanliness.
Cons: Radiator and the room generally!
Location: Good location with secure car park at back of hotel (you need to be a good driver as car park on an incline and compact). Walking distance to shops.
Very clean hotel, comfortable bed and good breakfast. We stayed here for 1 night in January. The hotel is an older property and our room was in the narrow corridor leading from the back door (and the car park) to Reception. We arrived mid afternoon and until we went out to the restaurant that we had booked, the noise of people walking along the corridor was incredible. For some reason, just one person walking along the corridor sounded like a herd of elephants and the walls were so thin that we could hear perfect conversations from the corridor. However, fortunately, whilst we were actually in the room sleeping we did not hear a thing which at the end of the day was more important. After all, we booked the hotel for somewhere to sleep. Our room was tiny with no windows that we could actually look out of as the window was high up and looked out on to the bottom of the car park which was on an incline but again we were not in the room to look out of the window so it wasn't a big problem. On first entering the room it was freezing and we had to turn the radiators on but when we returned later that night it was boiling hot in the room and we couldn't turn the radiator off or down. As the bed was right up against the radiator, it was a very hot night and during the night I had to ask my partner to swop sides so I could sleep better. I meant to mention it to Reception when we checked out in case it was broken but I forgot.
