While the grounds were very nice and the staff quite friendly, we were very disappointed for the price we paid for the night. If you are looking to sweat off the Portuguese wine while sleeping, this is your place. I’ve never been so hot at a hotel and the AC was not operational. We managed to get a window open but had to use my shoe to prop it open. Finally to top it off we got very little sleep given our neighbour was testing the limits of apnea and snoring. If it’s not the peacocks crowing 24/7 then it’s staff having full conversations at 2AM just as you fall asleep. One more thing, don’t count on any shuttle service and plan on paying €15-20 for an Uber or the 20 minute hike up the steep hill. Disappointed given the high price!!

Beautiful property. Room was not great. Paid for pool view, there was none. Bed was a double. For two adults this is not adequate. Could t sleep.

We missed the run off for the hotel on the first go round, but other than that everything was amazing. One of the most relaxing places I've ever stayed.

The staff are very gracious and helpful. Very professional, but warm. I loved all the nice touches - fresh honey on the breakfast buffet, local pastries, etc. The pool area and back garden are stunning at sunset.

There were lots of special touches by this friendly and professional staff here that made us feel taken care of from check in to check out. The property is beautiful (the building itself as well as the gardens) and it was very easy to both park and walk to downtown Sintra. Everything is so elegant feeling.

I love everything about it, except one little thing, my room was on the ground floor by the driveway, I could hear the cara pass by, people who passed by were talking loudly and screaming on the phone which woke me up a few times, although everything else was wonderful but I didn’t have a good night sleep due to the noises. Next time, I will definitely book a room in the back of the hotel, much more quiet.

Gorgeous property with stunning views in every direction. Fantastic staff and service. We were there for two nights but wish we could have stayed longer. Highly recommend a stay or a visit to the restaurant at the very least.

Such an amazing property! Literally felt like royalty from the moment we pulled up. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We traveled with two children. The grounds were my personal favorite. I have never seen such a beautiful garden, pool, etc. The restaurant was absolutely amazing for dinner and buffet breakfast. Five star! The room had a bathtub and amazing pressure in the shower! The beds were extremely comfortable! I wish we would've stayed in Sintra for more than one night! Walking distance to Quinta da Regaleira. Pena Castle requires more of a taxi ride unless you want to hike for an hour. We will surely be back one day! Book this place! Zero regrets!

The rooms were very comfortable. The views and scenery were lovely, and it was close to town and the sites we wanted to see. I think the hotel needs more comfortable seating in the lounges. For this size hotel, were only 2 couches in the lounge area for families to gather, and no couches or comfortable seating in the bar, which has the potential to be a lovely bar. Also, the rug throughout the hotel was old and dirty. Definitely needs updating.

Best hotel in Sintra. Stunning!
This is one of the best palace hotels in Portugal and certainly the most luxurious place to stay in Sintra. The building and the garden are beautiful with stunning views. There is a large outdoor pool and a spa. Walking distance to many heritage sites and restaurants in Sintra village. Great service and there is a lift, large TVs in every room. Delicious food, we had many meals there. One downside was that heating was broken in some of the bedrooms so it was very cold at night. We had to borrow an electric heater and we didn’t have any engineers visiting to fix the issue. One downside

Nice palace
It was pretty amazing to stay in a palace and we were definitely amazed walking in, loved the outdoor space. The room was a bit small for the price, carpet severely stained and moldy shower curtain. Considering we stayed at 5 other hotels in Portugal for half the price, we had higher expectations. It’s in a good location but might be more worthwhile to pop in, take a look around and have a meal rather then stay.

Experience life like Royalty
Beautiful property. Takes you back in time, feels like you are living with Royalty. Rooms were a bit small, though we had an oversized terrace. Excellent dinner. Overall a 9.5/10

Romantic place - amazing service
I'm not normally in the habit of giving reviews but I think this hotel is worthy of the time. The service was really amazing. I wish it was not in Covid times but the care and attention was second to none.
