“Great place to stay”
Great place, clean, spacious and modern. Extremely satisfied with the place and the excellent staff, I would definitely stay again.
“Great base in Lisbon”
A good example of the Novotel offer, the fittings & decoration are all in good condition, creating a very positive impression. Breakfast is very nice, with good quality ingredients and wide variety. Beds were very comfortable. Pool area is simple but very pleasant. Although under the approach path to the airport, we did not notice this at any time inside the property, the noise being evident only when at the pool. The metro is very convenient, and there always seems to be one of Lisbon's reasonably-priced cabs outside the hotel. All round, great choice for visiting Lisbon.
“Sometimes predictable is good”
Just what you would expect, good value package, nice, big room, pleasant, professional, service, excellent inclusive all-you-can-eat buffet breakfast. We had bad experiences at a couple of restuarants in the city centre, so we had the 3 course all-you-can-eat buffet evening meal at the Novotel as well which was of a very high standard and excellent vfm. Free internet terminals in the lobby, plus free wifi in rooms. Good soundproofing - no traffic or aircraft noise. Popular with families - I guess they do good kids-go-free deals. Relatively close to airport so taxi relatively cheap. Praca de Espanha metro station, with a short direct connection to centre, a short walk away. Gulbenkian museum within walking distance. Only minor niggles: matress a bit hard for our taste. The first room they gave us had a noisy aircon fan: they moved us to an identical room with no fuss. (The aircon worked well: essential as the windows are hermetically sealed.)
“Good hotel, convenient location, no complaints”
We really had no complaints about this hotel. I've stayed at a number of Novotels as they deliver what they promise; decent rooms, good facilities in a convenient location and Novotel Lisboa was no exception. Our room had a double bed and double sofabed with both being extremely comfortable. The bathroom was large and the shower hot and powerful. We were 1 adult and 2 teenage girls and the room was an adequate size for us. Pool area was generally always quiet with loungers available. Buffet breakfast was suficient with an excellent continental and small hot selection (I thought the coffee was gross though). Staf were pleasant, helpful and reception staff were multi lingual. Housekeeping happened at random times which was a bit annoying. Free wifi is a must for any decent hotel and the wifi here worked well for me in the lobby but I struggled to get a signal in my room. I was using a smartphone though snd my daughter, using a laptop, did receive signal in the room. The hotel is not in the very centre of Lisboa which was perfect for us. Using the metro you could be there in 20mins with the nearest station Praca Espanha 5mins away. The metro is fast and cheap. All in all this hotel provided an excellent base to explore Lisboa and for a relaxing holiday
“Great time in Lisbon”
I will definitely recomend this hotel. Extremely frindly staff, when we asked after check-in where we can buy travelcards we were given 4 of them by the receptionist saying they were valid for the rest of the day left by guest going to the airport. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic. We will definitely come back!
“good for a conference nearby”
stayed for a conference in the hotel and at the University nearby, which the hotel was ideal for. Nice lobby bar for meeting friends, good breakfast. If I was staying for a holiday I would prefer to be nearer the town.
“We alwaya stay here when we travel to Lisbon”
This hotel is very clean, efficient, and centrally located. The area isn't great, but it's right next to a train station and a 10 minute ride to downtown. Wonderful.
“I willgo back for sure.”
Good hotel. Clean, new, friendly staff, good breakfast and 7 km to down town. Recomend of course.
“Good hotel”
We stayed for 2 days, travelled and returned to the hotel. They gave us quite the same room. Rooms are clean and large. Breakfast is very good and people are kind. Parking is surcharged, but you can try to park outside. It's well located if you are by car or you can take the subway near.
“Small, but clean with efficient and friendly staff.”
Great New Year's eve buffet with sparkling wine upon arrival, wine with dinner and champagne after.
