“If you need something close to the conference center than consider this hotel.”

The location is great for people who need to go to the conference center, however, the bridge above the hotel is noisy- very noisy. This hotel is not in town, or in an interesting neighborhood, or so comfortable that it makes it a good choice in any other situation.

“Not satisfied”

The room beds are not comfort at all the air condition are not good on the 2nd floor they have a very bad Smell, they said it's a smooking rooms, but I don't think so , as the walking area and the room have the same smell

“Can't Wait to Return”

I was extremely satisfied with this hotel. I gave it a four for convenience of hotel location for tourists because the public transportation into the center was confusing and a bit of a walk. However, overall it would be a five =D Take either Bus 714 or Trolley 15 towards Praca da Figeira.

“Perfect hotel for the convention center.”

This hotel is perfect for the convention center, and is very convenient for sight seeing of the Mosteiro dos Jerónimosy and Torre de Belem (which are located in the southwest corner of the city, and 5 minute Tram ride from this hotel). To get to the center of the city, you will need to take Tram 15 to get to center city or grab a Taxi, which is 10 Euros or less pretty much to anywhere in the city. The neighborhood around the hotel is dead at night. The breakfast buffet is excellent. I did not find the hotel staff to be rude, and they could smile more. Too bad the hotel is still old school and charge (a lot) for internet. I did switch to a hotel in center city after my conference so that I can enjoy a walk on the Boulevard, and more variety of restaurants, Fado clubs.

“Will return again and again”

Initially we thought the hotel was far from the sights, underneath a bridge, but it was actually an extremely convenient location as it was 2 blocks from both metro and train stations; a 5-7 minute metro ride from Belem and 10-12 minutes from Restauradores or the center of town. The staff were friendly and all spoke English, most spoke Spanish so this helped us. They were always willing to help us if we had any questions about where to go and how to get there. We were on the 6th floor and our room was quiet and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was the best part of it all, absolutely superb in terms of choice and taste. The hotel is located very near restaurants overlooking the water, most of which offer late night dining (they give you blankets if it's chilly). Gale is also a five minute walk from the train station which takes you straight to Estoril or Cascais (30 minute journey) for less than 5 euro making it ideal if needing some relaxation time at the beach. We loved the service, comfort and location that this hotel had to offer and will return again the next time we are in Lisbon. Obrigado!

“Just Ok”

The hotel was ok, but for the same price, I stayed the third night of my trip to Lisbon in Hollyday Inn Continental, which is much nicer hotel and has a better location, closer to the airport and to Parque das Nações.

“Schönes Hotel in Lissabon”

Schönes, angenehmes Hotel in sehr guter Lage in Lissabon, am Fluss. Nettes, hilfreiches Personal, vielfältiges Frühstücksbuffet. Einiger Nachteil ist die Lage unter der Brücke 25 de Abril wegen des Lärms.

“je le recommande juste pour le prix”

il peut être bien, mais au niveau du transport c'est pas terrible aussi l'entretien des chambres n'est pas suivi pour n'importe quel problème il me demande de changer de chambre donc tout rangeait mes affaires mes valises c'est fatigant. Pour le reste de l'accueil parfait la communication pas de problème, pour ce qui veulent dormir sans avoir bruit ce n'est pas l'hôtel qui leur faut qu'à l'hôtel est situé juste en dessous du pont est il y a un bruit infernal, interminable toute la journée et toute la nuit. Je recommande c'est juste pour le prix !

“Vila Gale Opera”

Hotel ziet er leuk uit en de ligging tussen Oude binnenstad en Belem is handig als je bij congrescentrum moet zijn, want daar ligt het pal naast. Het hotel ligt aan de voet van de Portugese Golden Gate bridge en dat is een probleem. Door gebrekkige geluidsisolatie word je gek van de herrie. Op zaterdagavond werd dat nog veel erger doordat een disco aan de beregezellige dockside cafes aan de overzijde aan de kade van de Taag tot 0500 doorgaat. Als je hier wil slapen moet je ofwel oordoppen meenemen of minstens een kamer aan de niet-Taag zijde vragen (dan maar geen uitzicht). Eten en drank zijn prima en redelijk geprijsd. Onhandig en onvriendelijk dat internet en gebruik van zwembad weer apart worden berekend. dat is niet van deze tijd.
