“lousy staff”
very unhelpful, immpolite staff - - I would strongly not recommend this hotel only because of the terrible staff attitude - very very very BAD!!!! however the rooms were spacious and was well located for the hop on hop off bus.
“Rooms with Balconies!”
The best feature of this hotel is that every room has a balcony, which makes for great natural light and adds to the feel spaciousness of the room, when in fact there is very little. The rooms are not cramped, by any means--just not particularly spacious, and decently maintained. If, on checking in, you discover your room is next to the maid's supply room on that floor, ask for a change immediately, unless you want to be awakened at 8:00 a.m. by loud thumps on the adjoining wall. And unless you want a ridiculous and insulting argument, be sure to bring a printout of you online reservation confirmation--the only hotel so far in the world I have found that requires this.
“Save yourself a stay”
Save yourself a stay if you must visit Portugal at this "four star" nightmare. They treated my friend and I like children forcing us to leave the key everytime we left the hotel. The staff also was kind enough to give us, purposefully bad advice such as going to the beach one hour away in the slums when the nicer beach, as we would later find out, is right around the corner. Or send us to restartaunts that were closed. And my favorite? The maid threw away our internet voucer and the front desk didn't give us a new one. The bathroom was disgusting with a broken toilet and non-functioning shower head. The people in the hotel were beyond strange, the first night we were told by some member of Isreali security not to take one step further in the lobby... bottom line, don't stay here, please. It was a nightmare.
“Definitely the best of the three!”
We were stranded in Lisbon due to the volcanic ash following a 3 day break. We were unable to stay at our original hotel and so had to move. After 2 disappointing nights in a tiny room we were delighted to get a reservation at the Diplomatico. The room was lovely, huge, well furnished and comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful, particularly as we had to keep asking to retain our room as we were unsure when we could get away. The only reservation I had was that the breakfast is rather pricy at 8.50. There is an excellent cafe just across the road where you can get excellent pastries and coffee for about 5 euros for 2! I would definitely recommend this hotel.
“nice hotel, friendly staff”
nice hotel, clean, friendly staff, internet access near desk.big room with comfy bed.not my favourite hotel in lisbon, but would be more than happy to stay again.
“Class from the past”
This is an older hotel (e.g., doors swing outward on the elevators) but is in good condition and was well priced.
“hotel VIP diplomatico lisboa bien situé”
bien situé et bien desservi
“Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo”
ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Camera ampia e spaziosa, pulizia ottima.
