Dining
Il Gattopardo - Inspired by the Visconti movie of the same name, this restaurant is located on the third floor and has light wood paneled and cream painted walls with complementing fabrics in cream and brown. A small reception area leads to a wooden floored bar area, dark wood tables and easy chairs, with complimentary newspapers for guests to read. The restaurant is decorated with cream wash wooden furniture, with a terrace available for the warmer months. As the name suggests, this is an Italian restaurant, serving a la carte and table d'hote lunch and dinner menus. It is often used for business lunches by both guests and outside visitors.
Bistrot Le Café - Located at the far end of the lobby and decorated with black tables and chairs, this café serves a buffet, Continental, or a la carte breakfasts, a buffet lunch during the week with Portuguese cuisine from a different region each day as well as salads, international dishes, and a range of desserts.

“A well located hotel”
A very good hotel, near the financial district, and across the road from a large shopping centre (incl. a supermarket). The hotel is comfortable, the reception staff are very helpful, free internet and printing (useful for online check in). Taxis are plentyful and quite cheap, about €7 in to the centre. Alternatively there are good bus services - 711 to Dom Pedro Square, and 758 to Cais de Sodre Station. The nearest Mettro is a terminus staion at rato so not of much use unless you change lines. Very happy with the stay.
“Renovation long overdue, not impressed at all”
VIP room not attended nor cleaned the whole day we were there.
“A superb hotel and a great city break”
A great hotel and a wonderful weekend away in Lisbon. A modern and comfortable hotel with all the facilities you could need. The staff are really friendly and go out of their way to help you. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk away from the city centre and the river, but its worth it. I would reccommend the walk into the centre rather than taking the metro (the station is a 10 minute walk on the way anyway) as you will get to see the great views over the city on the way along with getting to ride on one of the furniculars. All in all, an excellent base from which to explore the city.
“Very nice, but”
We stayed for 12 days due to our Boston holiday being cancelled because of the hurricane. We therefore arranged this holiday at very short notice. I cannot fault the staff of the hotel. Friendly and as helpful as they could be. The hotel was billed as 5 star and the bar prices certainly were. I felt the food & drink prices were a little prohibitive so we ate and drank out after the first evening. We opted for the business package which ensured we were in a tower room and included parking & internet as well as access to the Spa & VIP lounge. As we had a hire car I found this quite good value. On arrival at the hotel I discovered that all internet access was wired except in the lobby area. This meant an 18 floor journey to access the web in my i-phone. Not a disaster but a bit of a surprise. The wifi code changed on a regular basis which could be a pain. The Spa had no changing facilities which meant changing into your dressing gown in your room and travelling to the basement in the lift in a state of undress. Quite a few amusing confrontations take place as other guests get into the lift whilst you are travelling to the Spa and pretend to ignore you standing there in dressing gown & flip flops.
“Dom Pedro Palace Hotel”
The hotel is very modern and clean. Rooms are big with amazing city views. The location is a bit outside of the city center, and it is at least a 30 minute walk to most attractions and restaurants.
“Great Hotel, Beautiful City”
Hotel Dom Pedro Palace is a beautiful hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was excellent value for the cost of a room. It was quite a walk to get to downtown Lisbon, but it was downhill!! En route to downtown, there are lots of places of interest to see. The hotel is very close to the tour bus terminal.. The red bus is a wonderful way to see Lisbon. The hotel is opposite a shopping centre. We found the breakfasts to be expensive in the hotel, but we found several small cafes close by that served good breakfasts. The only problem with the cafes was that not many people spoke English, but we managed to get what we wanted with a few basic words. I would recommend the hotel to anyone, and I can't wait to go back.
“will be happy to return”
friendly and helpful staff. clean and tidy very close shopping centre
“Fancy hotel”
We got an excellent deal on three nights at the Dom Pedro Palace -- the location was a bit of walk when considering the hilly surroundings, but taxi cabs are extremely inexpensive, and the downhill walk was easy and entertaining. The basement pool is fun (rotating color underwater lights and saunas), but the hotel food was very expensive considering the cost of the rooms. The service was excellent and the room was quite comfortable -- I would definitely stay there again if my husband and I return to Lisbon.
“Good but not great”
Very nice rooms, albeit instead of a king bed two singles were used. Very clean hotel, in a good spot if you have a car or catch cabs (quite cheap to city centre). Great large rooms and very nice bathroom for the price.
“Good hotel but could have been better”
The location and the staff was great (walking distance to Rossio and other turist spots). Only problem we had was that we could not set the temperature in our room. The AC was a central AC and the hotel staff had set the room temp to 77F. We had to call 3 nights in a row to have the maintenance turn the temperature in our room down to 67F.
