Room are completely outdated and smell. Carpets need to be thrown out. They are very dirty. Hotel should not have bed side mats. Furniture need replacement. Feels like a cheap motel. Hotel lighting needs updating. It’s very dark and gloomy. Feels like bates motel. The electrical plugs are in the wrong spot. I had to go under the table to charge my phone, hair dryer is in random spot and not in front of mirror and can’t be moved. Washrooms sink doesn’t drain. Hotel needs complete overhaul. Do not recommend this hotel to anyone

I really enjoyed staying at this Hotel, the room was clean staff were very friendly and helpful, and they serve the best American Style Breakfast that my Mom loved since she was celebrating her 87th Birthday.

We had a great time. There is lots to do and see around the area. The staff was wonderful. The beach is just steps away, but sometimes a lot of steps away depending on where you are in the hotel. The Outdoor and indoor pool were well kept.

We LOVED staying here. It has so many amenities, clean, staff is super friendly, reasonable price, superb breakfast buffet, and the most beautiful view of the ocean. Parking was very easy. Will stay here again in the future and would recommend to everyone.

This is by far my favorite hotel experience ever! The staff was wonderful, room was perfect for us. Being able to walk right down to the beach and then also have the option for a swim in the pool was breathtaking. Also the easy access to town was so nice. Not to mention you get to look at a castle!

This is a front beach room, I was able to see the ocean… but not the beach due a wall in front. The building looks a bit tired but the room was clean.

Dirty-Old-Bugs-Stay Away
Arrived at 2 PM would not let us check in until 4 PM (hotel empty, off season. Picture on Hotels.com misrepresent what the accommodations are really like. Dirty, depressing, bugs, bed lumpy, dark, noisy, old fuzzy TV, please see my pictures. I would never stay here again. Worst hotel on our 2 week trip.

Walking distance from the city centre. Nice room with comfy beds . We had ocean’s view room with a huge balcony. Breakfast was nice too, we sat outside on the terrace, the food seemed fresh and the staff was very friendly. I wish we could have stayed longer but I had to go back to work

Beds hard as a rock - seriously! We woke up in pain. Breakfast mediocre. Decent location, but to get to the beach you have to go down 2 elevators, various stairways and down the hill on the street. The hotel is not right on the beach.

The team at the property were very friendly, accommodating and helpful. We had a lovely garden apartment on the 5th floor. The breakfast was fantastic all one could ask for. Very handy location with fabulous views of the Ocean. The only disappointing factor was the restaurant team, they weren't very friendly and seemed to be wandering aimlessly. The 2 elderly gentlemen (in blue suits) gave the impression that they didn't want to be there. When I questioned undercooked (red, almost blue) veal in my Gordon Bleu one of these gents said; "Well, that's the way sometimes people like it." Really? Thank goodness the duty manager stepped in and did not charge us for my portion of the dinner. Thank you.

The hotel has character with its 60s style furniture and décor. It is interesting because it's set over a number of levels, so you discover small lounges and other features all over the place!

Great hotel in a great location
We stayed for 10 days and really enjoyed it. Staff were very helpful and the room was clean. Yes the hotel is older so set your expectations accordingly; if you are looking for a modern 5 star resort then you will be disappointed. But if you looking for a decent hotel with some character in a great location this is for you. Good to have a car if you are staying for a while because the town is small. Breakfast was fantastic. A few minor and simple suggestions to the hotel to make it even better: - spend a small amount of money to improve the wifi because it is almost nonfunctional; the routers are too far away (Very weak signal) - don't charge extra for the safe in the room; That is nickel and diming and most other hotels include this at no extra charge. - put some air freshener in the bathroom to counteract the odour that sometimes is there.

Location was great. Bedrooms very dated. Dark low ceilings didnt help. Broken floor tiles. Had to take two seperate lifts to go from breakfast room to where we were staying. Lots of building work around the pool area. Would have expected a hot chef at breakfast for a 4 star hotel. Would have rated this a 2-3 star.

Love the fact that all rooms have sea views and private terraces. The garden and outdoor pool area is lovely. Fantastic setting and fantastic views from the bar restaurant and public areas. The rooms are not modern but we loved ours. The only one thing we would of liked was a kettle provided. Once we got used to the layout of the hotel which is built into the cliff it was great. Lots of stairs and lifts. Breakfast buffet good selectiion. Staff friendly and helpful.

Wonderful hotel with dramatic view of ocean and hills. Great patio and short walk down to seaside town. Beds were a bit uncomfortable and breakfast was good but not great. Still a must stay just for the view of coast.

A one night stay’s opinion
This place is pretty cool, it’s in a very nice beach town, very nice breakfast and all the rooms have great views. The place is an architect’s dream. Some of the old rooms are plane, and a little old, but well maintained and clean. Custom service was great. We stayed one night.

The property might be a bit older but the rooms are nice with good views. Indoor pool is huge. Staff is great. Breakfast is ok and can be challenging when large groups arrive.
