“Lisbon's Best Hotel”
We had nothing to complain about this hotel. It is in the perfect location, the staff is extremely helpful, the room was perfect.
“Nice, but.,.,”
Heritage Av Liberdade was nice, but it could have so much better. I had specifically requested a quiet room not near the public lift, so what did I get? The nearest room to the lift. My sleep was disturbed throughout our three night stay. Our room was OK, but very small. The bathroom was almost 'cupboard like' - the walls were so thin, that when the person in the next room used their bathroom we could hear everything. Again, this disturbed my sleep during the night. The Molten Brown products were a nice touch, but the mouldy shower curtain was not a nice sight. There was no separate shower and I had to use the hand shower because the heat settings were impossible to set on the overhead shower. Their was no ventilation or window in the bathroom so it was not as pleasant as it could have been. We planned to use the jet pool, but their were no jets - the pool was tiny - we took turns to do a length - but got out after 5 minutes because of the water being so cold. All of the staff were lovely and helpful. Best tip was to buy a daily travel card not a three day pass. The tea bar was a bonus as was the complimentary port upon arrival. The hotel was very quiet and judging by the floor plan we were given the very smallest room on the third floor. Our experience could have been so much better if we had a better, sound proof room. Overall location was excellent and we both loved Lisbon.
“Luxury in Lisbon”
A lovely hotel in a good central location, reasonably priced, staff exceptionally helpful. Some nice touches - port and madeira for self service at night, green apples for the taking. Generous breakfast. A really good find.
“Great experience”
Very friendly informative staff, excellent location.
“Great hotel”
Nearly flawless experience--beautiful surroundings, perfectly appointed suite, great full breakfast, free wine and tea in the lobby bar. My only complaint: SO much mold in the shower and all over the shower curtains. It was pretty gross. Beyond that, a great experience.
“Good value overall”
Friendly and welcoming staff. Great location, very handy for all sights - walking distance to metro less than 5 mins, 10 mins to trams and main rail station (for trains to Sintra - worth a day trip). We only had a first floor room thus didn't get the nice views of the city but the room was quiet with shutters and double glazing and lovely tiled walls which gave it a local character and set it apart from chain hotels. Nice bathroom in the room and Molton Brown toiletries. Used the swimming pool once; small but fine. Tea and port were free to help yourself in reception. Overall would very much recommend the hotel.
“A great time in Lisbon.”
Three nights in Lisbon for a lovely city break. Great hotel with a very large room, air conditioning - boutique like. We were out there for a Thursday, Friday and Saturday night - returning on the Sunday - when sadly much of Lisbon is closed for business. Great flights with BA - lovely hotel in a great position. Breakfast included came as a surprise. There was also free coffee, tea, port and moscatel on hand for guests throughout the day in the lobby/lounge. Only down side was that hotel lacked a restaurant. Hotel also had a business centre/library with PCs and linked printers free to guests - great for on-line check-in and printing of boarding cards. We used the bus to get into Lisbon but in fact taxis are so cheap, I would recommend anyone who goes to use a taxi. We did on the return and it cost us 10Euros + tip.
“Absolutely not to be missed - outstanding in every way.”
The hotel was warm and welcoming on our arrival - extremely laid-back and easy-going but in the best sense - not lazy or uncaring in the least. The reception staff were all young, sparky, interesting and interested. They could not do enough to make sure our stay (over the New Year period) was exceptional and it certainly was. As well as this the buffet breakfast (served from 7am to a very civilised 12 noon!!) was fresh, innovative and delicious - again, served with charm and ease. The hotel was small, intimate and very conveniently located - a real diamond, so go and stay there NOW whilst the exceptional staff are still there, together with the magic ...
“Very convenient location”
Very nice hotel. Fast wifi. Only complaint would be that the hallways were super dark.
“Beautiful and centrally located - great deal!”
This hotel had a great location with a reasonable price. It had a wonderful "look" - combining modern aesthetics with elements of classic Lisbon. The staff was very helpful, offering us a free drink on arrival and making dinner reservations for us. Our room was very nice, with the highlights being a Juliet balcony overlooking a Lisbon "hill climbing tram" and an awesome bathroom. Would definitely go back!
