Adare Manor

"The best hotel I've ever seen much less stayed in."
I cannot begin to even cover how lovely this hotel is. Every time I walked the grounds and looked back at the Manor, I told myself "I can't believe I'm staying in a castle!" It is beautiful inside and out. The hotel staff are wonderful! They are cheerful, helpful and most of all they are authentic. They are not the obsequious type you could find at other hotels of this caliber. Finally, the High Tea is definitely worth the indulgence and the formal restaurant is fantastic. In fact, it was recently voted the Best Hotel Restaurant in Ireland. I agree!

No. 1 Pery Square Hotel & Spa

1 Pery Square, Georgian Quarter, Limerick - Map

"A five-star experience!"
No. 1 Pery Square was my favourite hotel during my stay in Ireland. The place is very classy and chic, without feeling snobish at all. It is located near a nice park in central Limerick, and there is a small parking structure nearby where you can leave your vehicle. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and gave me advice on where to dine, and even a discount for a nearby restaurant. The hotel is lovely and so beautifully decorated. The atmosphere is cosy and quiet, ideal for a relaxing and restful stay. My room was lovely and very comfy, with a luxurious bed and even more luxurious bathroom. After settling in, I went downstairs and sat on the terrace out back for a glass of Prosecco, the weather was perfect, and the place was so peaceful, it was a perfect start to the evening! The next morning, I had breakfast in the beautiful restaurant, and oh my god, you have to try their pancakes, they are heavenly!! With a good cup of coffee and these delicious pancakes, I was set for the day! Great, great hotel, I definitely recommend it!

Dunraven Arms Hotel

"Nice, but lacking 4 star quality"
Room was comfortable, but required a bit of decorating, water patches on ceiling. Room had a velux window, but you were unable to open or close it as it had batons around it, and it wasn't very sound proof heard traffic On road all night.

"Excellent value, location and service"
This was our third stay at the George in the last 4 years, each for a week or longer. We love it. It is clean and comfortable and conveniently situated in Limerick, close to good pubs, restaurants, and the city's numerous attractions. Also a good base and an easy location to get around to visit the western part of Ireland. We expect to return and stay at the George each time we go back.

    Pocket Guide: Limerick

Limerick is a vibrant city that offers regular arts events, music nights and performances so there are plenty of good reasons to choose a hotel close to the city centre. For atmosphere the Georgian part of town boasts a certain period charm but a hotel overlooking the River Shannon offers the most romantic views.

If you’re looking for something a little quieter away from happening heart of it all, your best bet is to head for the surrounding countryside. Don’t worry; you’ll in no way end up stranded with the town is just a short car journey away – and the countryside plenty to offer.

There are some wonderful luxury hotels and converted farmhouses to be found, but being on a budget is not a barrier to taking in the views and enjoying the tranquillity. There are plenty of guesthouses and self-catering cottages available where you can really make yourself at home.

    Hotels by the River Shannon

Ireland’s tallest hotel may afford wonderful views over the Shannon, and offer pool, spa and pampering facilities too, but it’s not all about imperial grandeur by the river: there are plenty of equally impressive boutique hotels nestling by the waterfront and budget guesthouses too.

The graceful river offers a picturesque backdrop to your stay in Limerick but the excitements of the centre are less than a 5-minute stroll away. You can enjoy a restful, romantic night in or a lively night out as the mood takes you.

    Hotels in the Limerick Countryside

The countryside around Limerick offers you even more ways to enjoy the best of both worlds. A short half hour drive will place you directly in the lap of luxury. The pretty, historic village of Adare is enchanting by itself, but it is also home to a 5 star luxury hotel, complete with golf course and a stunningly beautiful setting. There are other options in Adare which will suit those on a lower budget, and wherever you stay you will benefit from the accessibility of Limerick and the beauty of your hotel’s surroundings.

    Family Hotels in Limerick

Travelling outside the city centre of Limerick also opens up the spaces for family fun and you will find hotels with fitness centres for the health-conscious mums and dads and play pools for the energetic children. What’s more many of these hotels still determinedly cling to the upstream banks of the river to the northeast of Limerick.

    Budget Hotels in Limerick

Limerick is not all extravagant hotels though; there are plenty of budget options that range from student rooms that are rented out over the summer to visitors, as well as

hostels, B&Bs and cheerful guesthouses that are waiting to welcome you to the city.

Wherever you choose to stay it is almost impossible not to enjoy your time in Limerick, so find that flight, pick your accommodation and book yourself into some much needed fun.
