“Great base for day trips”
We uses this hotel as a base for day trips to Cork and Galway. Convenient to the motorways. Clean, quiet with great staff.
“Maldron”
Very good value for money. Pub food was very good in a cosy atmosphere. Good full breakfast. I was very happy with this hotel and would recommend it without reservation.
“Not impressed”
I would not recommend this hotel to anybody as didn't have a good stay there. There is no extractor fan in the bathroom, beds are very creaky and there is some generator outside that is going on noisily all night, so unless you keep your windows closed you wouldn't be able to get much sleep. The only positives were a good enough breakfast and nice lounge. You had to pay extra to use internet (though wi-fi is free), for a locker in the pool, a swimming hat and to play a game of pool; so if staying on a budget all these things add up handsomely. We wanted to use this hotel as our base for exploring Ireland so the position of the hotel was good enough but not being able to get rest after a day out ruined the whole experience. Hotel manager and staff were helpful enough but we would never stay in this hotel again.
“Highly recommend the Maldron Hotels”
We stayed at several Maldron hotels while in Ireland and were very pleased with every one of them. Will definitely stay there again.
“Wonderful Service”
This hotel is located in a very strange place. You would not want to go for a walk around the neighborhood. The hotel makes up for the bad location though. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The building is beautiful. The breakfast was very good. The city is not too difficult to drive around with directions, so being far out of the loop wasn't too bad.
“Comfort & style at a good price”
Clean, comfortable and stylish -- sort of mid-century modern with bright colors on the walls and interesting lighting fixtures. The bed was very comfortable... no morning backache. Nice tea service in the room for chilly mornings. Quiet. The staff were lovely and very accommodating. I'd stay at another Maldron if I were to return to Ireland. Here are my (very minor) complaints/suggestions: -- the computer on the 2d floor didn't work, and they couldn't get a service person there. -- my phone wasn't turned on until I had asked several times why I couldn't make calls -- since there's no way to safely walk to a market (busy highway area), they should offer a little shop with snacks, toiletries, newspapers, magazines, etc. I was DYING for something to read.
“a great value”
Friendly staff, quick to respond to issues. I had several quiet nights but then the wind must have shifted, creating a constant tapping in an industrial fan across the street. They found me another room in a matter of minutes. The one downside is the location as it's in a commercial area with no options for strolling. Would definitely consider another Maldron hotel based on this experience - a great value for a large, comfortable room and wonderful staff.
“No need to worry”
When we read the reviews, we were anxious about turning up past midnight at this hotel, but had no need to worry as we never felt less than safe here. Room was great and quiet, clean with a huge bed. Hotel was dated but clean and fitness room and pool were great. Breakfast was expensive at , but it was, eat as much as you like. However, on the last morning, we were told there was a continental option at half the cost, so if you don't want cooked breakfast, ask for this. Food in the bar was awful. Tescos and Lidels are a 2 minute walk away. Hotel is easy to find in the daylight, if you are arriving at night, make sure you have good directions!
“Maldron Limerick”
Nice rooms & Lobby. Very helpful staff.
“Good hotel for good price”
This was a good hotel for what we wanted. The staff was friendly and it was clean. I would go back.
