“Limerick Strand is a treat in the Treaty City!”
Perfect location in the city of Limerick, the Limerick Strand Hotel ticks all the boxes, whether you're visit the city for a weekend break or on a business trip. Great hotel bar and restaurant offering wide selection of menus to suit every palate. Good atmosphere in a popular hotel and the staff were extremely helpful in recommending places to dine, shop and best visitor attractions. I would suggest spending time in the spa treatment rooms or the health centre before heading out for the evening; stop off for a drink in the hotel bar and cross the bridge to the Old Quarter of the city for an an amazing array of bars and restaurants. A visit to Limerick would not be complete without a visit to the infamous Milk Market to spend a few hours browsing the food, crafts, jewellery stands, stopping off for a coffee and crépe along the way! Top marks for Limerick and the Limerick Strand :-)
“This was our 2nd stay at this hotel and we plan to come back again.”
This was the second visit to this hotel and we were as pleased with the second as the first visit a year ago. The rooms are very nice and the staff was great. We will use this hotel again because of the city view, convenience to airport and the restaurant is excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel.
“Where are we now”
Great service and location. Great view over the Shannon, able to walk everywhere. Good service in bar and restaurant
“Excellent Location, Well-appointed room”
I stayed at the Strand just for its convenient location not far from Shannon Airport and because I could use an Expedia credit there, and I was quite pleasantly surprised that the room was well-appointed and clean and that the hotel was nicely situated for a walk along the river and a quick walk over to some attractions downtown. I would definitely stay there again.
“Nice hotel with good view of river and historic downtown buildings”
We were pleasantly surprised by the view from our room's window---including the River Shannon and several historic buildings. Ennis road is well-situatuated, and the hotel was easy to find. We had to walk some distance to good restaurants, but the entire road trip was pleasant with interesting buildings and bridges to see. The internet access was free, which is always a big plus when traveling internationally. Also the overnight parking rate was reasonable. If you want to find a convenience store open later in the evening, be prepared for a long walk.
“A gem in downtown”
Great for downtown access to Limerick. Lovely views of the river but getting into downtown Limerick is a bit of a challenge.
“very nice”
Very nice-but would have liked a bathtub!
“WONDERFUL - can't wait to go back!”
We were very pleased because the accomdations, sevice & food was excellent!
“Very pleased with choice of hotel”
Limerick was a stop off point on the way to the West coast. Wouldn't rush back to Limerick itself ( and the poor weather probably coloured our view of Limerick.) We had only booked one night but thought the hotel was extremely good . We ate in the hotel & had a lovely meal overlooking the river. Very pleased with choice of hotel. It was clean, quiet & relaxing. Staff were very helpful.
“The best hotel in Limerick!”
The hotel was fantastic, the staff were extremely helpful and very friendly, rooms were spacious and modern and all of the communal areas of the hotel were fantastic. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in Limerick. It is ideally suited for all of the sights, only a 10 min walk from Thomond Park and 5 mins into the city centre across the bridge. Even better, the Irish rugby team were staying at the hotel when we arrive and we were able to have our pictures taken with the team!!
