“An excellent hotel”

This modern hotel is located in Miraflores, which is about 30 minutes from the centre of Lima, and 45 minutes from the airport. It is very comfortable, and the service is efficient and friendly. All of the staff I dealt with spoke English. The hotel faces a tranquil park at the top of the cliff over the beach. There are splendid sea views from the 11th floor breakfast restaurant, which is very good. I didn't try the main restaurant, but the food from room service was good, too. There is a cliff-top shopping mall within 10 minutes walk, and there are lots of shops selling high-quality handicrafts nearby. There was a substantial police presence in the area, which felt very safe. I stayed twice in February 2011 and would definitely stay there again. Their sister hotel, El Monasterio, in Cusco is also excellent.

Area recommendations

Although the historic centre of Lima is full of interest I don't think that it would be the best place to stay. Miraflores was safer and more attractive, with good shops and restaurants, so that would probably be the best choice. However, it is about a 30 minutes drive from the city centre, and the prices are probably higher than in some other areas.

The weather in February 2011 was delightful - warm, clear and sunny.

“Everything you could want”

Great place. Location and views are tremendous. Rooms are huge. B-fast is very good, especially if you eat outside looking at the Pacific. Spa and gym were top rate.

“One of our best hotel experiences ever”

there was nothing that we can suggest to improve the stay. The Hotel is beautiful; the location amazing; the service as good as it gets - anywhere; it has all the amenities; and the boutique size of the hotel lets the staff remember your name. From reception to the restaurants to the business centre, staying at the Miraflores Park Hotel was a pleasure.

the Miraflores area is an upscale area over looking the ocean. Many amenities are close by.

“Very Nice”

This hotel is very beautiful but very corporate and stuffy. I was traveling alone and had come from a small boutique hotel in Cusco where i felt like family. The staff were all so lovely and friendly. Here, I felt invisible. But if you are traveling with someone, it would be fine. The view was incredible. The room was amazing, and the breakfast buffet was unbelievable!!!!!! The location is beautiful, but pretty far from restaurants and sightseeing. But you stay here for the view, right? Overall, great expereince.

Area recommendations

Miraflores is a great place to stay in Lima. It has a lively social scene and lots of restaurants. It also is not far from beaches. Centro Lima is a bit of a hike,but Miraflores has a nice relaxed atmosphere to come home to.
