“Great location in a great area of town”
Very satisfied with my stay at Hotel Estelar. Very comfortable rooms, great location, and fantastic facilities for meeting with clients. Add to it the special rate offered by Expedia, and it made for a perfect stay!
“Simply Fab”
A very comfortable hotel..The bedroom and bed was very comfortable. The room clean and light. The 21st floor bar and views were exquisite. Sadly I like to laze around by a pool one can swim in...not necessarily a cool rooftop pool like those in Barcelona..Yes, the size of the pool was tiny which is why I went to view Lima's Country Club in San Isidro, but sadly that too was not much bigger than a postage stamp. Service was first class. I was surprised to hear that Reception had asked which Agency my Peruvian girlfriend was from!! They confirmed that she would not be charged for breakfast which was great. On leaving I was presented with the bill for her breakfast! Lost in translation?...Overall excellent...I will return in the New Year... Fab Sure.....
“We will return hotel in a future trip to Lima without a doubt”
We only had a couple of issue with the hotel. Be aware if they arrange for their drivers that you will pay more, so get that clarification first. Secondly, double check to see when check out is, if they are busy you will have to checkout at 10:00 which is way too early.
“Good Hotel, Great Location”
Miraflores location is an excellent place to be. The hotel is about 10 mins walk to the cliffs above the coast. Some parts of the hotel are beginning to show a bit of wear, but the rooms, (and especially beds) are clean and very comfortable.
“Can't wait to go back”
Hotel Estelar has a stunning view of the city during the day and night. Breakfast is extremely good with loads of fresh fruit and a variety of breads and meat dishes. The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly, not pushy but ready to answer your questions. The majority speaks English. The highlift was the chocolate truffles they brought to your room at night, that was indeed a treat. The young men who brought the treats were very happy and entertaining individuals, which made the chocolate treats even better. The rooms were spacious with large queen size beds. The hotel sits on a busy street in the heart of the city, surrounded by shops, supermarkets, parks, restaurants and money changers. You do not have to accept the hotel money rate exchange, just step outside, walk across the street and the money changers with ther blue vests on will change your money. My husband and I felt safe at the hotel and even when we went for long walks in the city. The presence of the police or guards on every corner was comforting. We enjoyed our stay at the Estelar hotel and would recommend this hotel to anyone. The weather was nice, people friendly and always ready to help. Within a 1 mile radius around the hotel, one can find a myriad of shop, restaurants and cafe's. All in all this was one estupendos trip and the Hotel Estelar made it all possible.
“Okay, but nothing great”
Rooms were okay but nothing that great compared to the other hotels I stayed at in the area. Rates were reasonable but compared to what you got with the same amount at other place, it wasn't impressive. Front desk staff was great and helpful, breakfast was nothing special. Personally I think you can find better hotels in the area for around the same price but if you have to this hotel will do.
“Pictures can lie”
The room wasn't as we expected...It smell humidity..The ceiling had mold!!!...The curtains we're dirty....The gym and sauna we're out of service...We're at 11th floor and car noise was loud....The only thing good so far was breakfast...
“Good option in Lima, Peru.”
Good services, good restaurant. Amenities enough.
“I wish I had booked more than one night”
My novio and I had traveled all over Peru for 14 days. We stayed in many different places knowing that they were only going to have the minimum of comforts - a bed, a roof, and indoor plumbing. By the time I got to the Thunderbird I was exhausted and in great need of pampering, hot water and toilet paper that I didn't have to take with me into the bathroon. The Thunderbird was marvelous - luxurious. When I checked in I asked the man at the desk if they had hot water. He looked at me and asked - "how long have you been in Peru and where have you been?" When I told him he smiled and said "yes mam we have hot water" I could have spent every waking moment of my stay at the Thurderbird in the enormous bathtub with exceeding amounts of hot water. This place was beautiful, the bed was divine, the view wonderful and was just what I needed to soothe and pamper every weary bone in my body. An all inclusive breakfast is included and has anything and everything you could want. Also, don't miss the restaurant on the 21st floor.
“Good 4 Star Hotel”
Great location Excellent rooms and beds. You have to ask for the mini-bar which is not great. The bathroom also could be better, but is not awful, maybe old

Miraflores, Peru: The man-made landmarks of Miraflores--its gleaming towers, upscale shops, and foreign embassies--are no match for its natural beauty. Here, jagged cliffs give way to the Pacific. Inhabited since ancient times, Miraflores is home to Huaca Pucclana, once an administrative hub of activity built around 500 AD. Nowadays, the buzz has moved south to the parks along El Malecón and Larcomar mall.
