We only had two and a half days in Bali so unfortunately did not spend much time at this resort. A real shame as we travelled so far to a place which was so great. The open planned reception/dining area/bar was really nice, also the hotel/resort backs right on to the beach. The landscaped gardens within the resort was beautiful to see. Bali as a whole is a great country with lots to see and do. There is a lot of history there and breathtaking views to see.
We stayed at the Niksoma for a week in September. We were looked after superbly from the moment we arrived- the ice cold face towels and welcome drink in reception was a lovely touch and swiftly followed by a complimentary upgrade to a superior room. the room was very comfortable, air conditioning superb. The little details like turning down the bed and afternoon tea cake left in the room every day aswell as a complementary afternoon tea in the week just made it a very enjoyable experience. The pool area was just lovely, comfortable loungers and gorgeous view straight onto the beach. The best area for sun in the morning was the lower pool and move up to the upper infinity pool for afternoon sun. The only thing that marred it slightly for us was the inevitable people "bagging" a lounger. We had breakfast at 7 and there were already towels on the most of the best loungers. The hotel does state that if a towel is left for more than an hour it will be removed but that wasn't the issue, It was the same people in the same spot the entire week we were there. I actually heard the lady in question at our last breakfast joking to another guest that they were out for the day so they would be allowed to have "their" space.a bit selfish really when other guests have paid to have the same experience and are denied it by others. Not the hotels fault but a bit irritating! that aside, the hotel and surrounds were beautiful. Massage in spa also v.good
Fantastic hotel/resort. Superb facilities and staff, great location, in walking distance to everything but also gardens and beach surrounds suitable to have a peaceful and secluded break. Would highly recommend

We have been to Bali several times and love the Legian area, this was our first stay at The Mandira although our friends have stayed there before. The upgraded pool was amazing and we loved the 'adults only ' pool area! The staff were so friendly and helpful and surprised my husband with flowers, bintangs and a card for his birthday!
This was our most enjoyable stay i=n Bali! Thank you Simon and staff at the Bali Mandira

Great hotel with outstanding staff. The place had everything we needed and allowed us to have a relaxing week in Bali. The staff were always on hand to help and always greeted you with a smile and hello. Central to everything but tucked back far enough that you don't hear all the noise.
"“Value for money... we had a wonderful vacation!!”"
After reading a lot of reviews on the Jayakarta I was pleasantly surprised from the get go. Reception were friendly and helpful, our bags were taken immediately to our room where we were shown around and had all queries answered. The rooms are old and don't have open windows, door fly-wire or ceiling fans, however the air-con works efficiently as does the fridge. The queen bed was super comfy, pillows the best I've ever had and the sheets were crisp and clean, with plenty of bathroom towels and complimentary water.
Our room seemed quite safe and secure, however as there are no room safes I took my own personal safe (google "Pacsafe" anti-theft travel bags & security products) to store my laptop, iPad, passports, cash etc, and strapped it to the bathroom sink!
Our first afternoon was memorable with the setup of a beautiful wedding, so my first impression was awesome. The pools are clean, the gardens are gorgeous, and the massages are to die for (thank you Krisna). The breakfasts were wonderful and the choice was amazing. We were there for two weeks over the school holidays, and it wasn't half as crowded as I was expecting... although, for some reason we seemed to wake early and left our rooms at 7am most days.
My daughter had her hair braided the moment we arrived (AUD$20), had her finger/toe nails painted with flowers (AUD$5) and loved the massages (AUD$15 1hr & AUD$7.50 half hour). We'll definitely return in 2015.

This hotel was such a surprise for us. Spacious rooms, great facilities, restaurant and bar facilities were excellent but nothing surpasses the location if you love to spend time on the beach. Conveniently located across the road, there aren't many hotels that offer this ease of access to the beach. We loved the view from the restaurant and if you want to mix it up, there are some fantastic restaurants nearby also The grounds are immaculately maintained and I would highly recommend this hotel to others. Thanks for a great stay!
