The staff at the rental agency were very professional and competent, though their location is quite a distance from the apartment. We arrived earlier than the nominal check-in time but the apartment was ready so we were able to move in immediately. The "Museum View" from our window looked down at a skeleton of an Ostrich in the Museum across the road. Very cool.
The 5 Texas ladies so enjoyed the quaint little hotel with the beautiful window boxes. The rooms were clean and well prepared, the renovations seem to be going quite well. The breakfast was also very tasty with a variety of fresh breads, fruits and sweets.
We also appreciated the time the hotel staff spent with us on directions, places to eat and where to shop. They were all extremely helpful. We would all love to return!
A wonderful way to visit Paris, so much better than a hotel room. Nice Market and and bakery just around the corner. Our family of 5 stayed here for 3 nights. The owner was very prompt on any issue. If we are lucky enough to visit again, we would stay here again.

Like another reviewer, I hesitate to give this residence a good rating because I don't want to reveal its secret. You must be ready for an independent stay, because the staff is only there sporadically, but that was absolutely fine with us. When they were there, they were helpful and friendly. Very very small elevator, but there IS one, and we were grateful since our room was on the 5th floor (6th in US). Fernando the cleaning guy was friendly and helpful, also, but only comes when someone is leaving.
There is no better location if you love the Latin Quarter....really.
There are only 11 rooms, but a variety of sizes, from a large family room to our very small, but perfectly appointed studio overlooking the rooftops of Paris.
We'll be back....and hopefully they will have room for us.

Clean, well equipped apart hotel. In a quiet location near to the tram and M stations. Direct access via Didot Tram stop to Cite Universite station for RER to Airport.
Brilliantly helpful and very informative staff that couldn't help enough !
Will definitely stay again if in Paris. Reasonably priced for a weeks stay too 😊
…which is alternatively great or terrible, depending on either your love for Guiness and live music or your need for sleep at 2am. Other than that, La Residence des Arts is the quintessential charming small Paris hotel. Stayed in a junior suite, which was plenty roomy for 2 adults and a child. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable. The hotel is the sister facility to Villa d'Estrees across the street, and the staff who run both venues are wonderful people.
This is a small 3rd story walk up apartment that looks into a typical Parisian court and therefore has a bit of charm. Dwellers are respectful and quiet and in fact, it was very quiet for sleeping. The location was excellent - right in the center Paris on the left bank near the Pont Neuf. Easy walk to major museums, St Germain, Luxembourg Gardens, the Metro and the suburban trains serving both airports and Versailles.
The kitchen and the bathroom were orderly and everything worked, but they had been renovated in an amateurish way. The tub is very awkward and would be impossible for an elderly person or small children. No wall mounted shower, just a telephone-style faucet.
Kitchen is adequate for drinks and light cooking.
The furnishings were random and unattractive. there were three light stools and two beds but no comfortable chairs. There was a small TV that had been disconnected. There was Wi Fi access.
I stayed for one week alone and it was fine overall for me.

This one room studio apartment is in a secure apartment building right in the midst of the Latin quarter. It was the perfect size for myself and two kids. It had a bed and pullout couch, a kitchenette with coffee maker and a washing machine. We ate out for meals as there were so many restaurants to chose from but if you wanted to cook, there were plenty of pots and pans. There is a clothesline on the balcony for drying of clothes. The shower/bathroom was nicely done and towels were provided. We did not fine the noise from street to be a problem at all. It is a short walk to St Michel plaza and metro station which makes it so convenient to get anywhere. And it is a short walk to the Norte Dame, La Seine and many other sites. There is a small lift in the building which was nice when arriving with luggage. There was a tv and radio player but we never used these. The refrigerator really kept things cold. It also had WIFI which was really nice to have. The apartment also had some books on Paris and a map of the metro. There is a grocery store downstairs, a boulangerie a few doors down plus any type of restaurant you could ever want.

We needed a place for my family of five with 3 children, and this was perfect. We had the top floor of the apartment which had pull out sofa and 2 bedrooms accessed by a metal spiral staircase. We were greeted at arrival and made sure we were settled and happy with the accommodations. Although check out time was 11, we were allowed to keep our bags in the building for the day while we toured around Paris!
