Pros: The staff
Location: The location was a little to far from town to walk each day.

Affordable hotel with great hotel staff

Posted 19-Jun-2014
Very affordable hotel that has adequate accommodations. About 1.5km from city center, but had free parking on site. Rooms were clean and reasonably comfortable. Breakfast was good and the espresso's were excellent. The helpful hotel staff made the stay in this average hotel worthwhile. Always willing to help and most were fluent in English as well. If on a budget and have a car then this hotel is a good option.

Clean and simple

I chose the Aloisi as there was free parking, internet and breakfast…on these counts, the hotel was great. Staff were friendly, and spoke reasonable English. The single room was small, and the bathroom smaller, and with an uninspiring view of the petrol station. The twins/doubles seem to have the better view around the other side. There was no noise from the main road (I was worried about this), but was instead kept awake by the constant banging on the flag wire upon the flag pole. Bang bang bang. Very annoying, especially for something that service basically no purpose. The bed was comfortable, but the sheets seemed a little on the cheap side. It’s about a 30 min walk to the old town, but there is quite a lot of parking at the bottom of via Taranto.

Motel Aloisi- Great value

Posted 02-Mar-2012
Pros: Restaurant & Great Value
Cons: shower small
Location: 2kms out of town on major road
This Motel is light green with purple trims. Not the most attractive of colours...DO NOT however underestimate the rooms, the staff or the location. The rooms are on the larger side, warm & comfortable, bathroom nice. Shower not overly large however more than enough for a comfy stay. The staff very helpful and the motel located about 2kms from centre of Lecce. There are buses running into town centre which is helpful, leave the car parked at motel and take local transport 1 Euro each way. Roman Amphitheatre and cathedral in centre. The restaurant attached to Motel was packed at opening as the food was exceptionally good. The prices very affordable and the vino was delicious! This motel is recommended as you get access to the town centre without having hassles of driving and parking in centre of town, the estblishment is clean and efficient.
